I'm an amateur videographer/photographer and I've been looking for an affordable full functional tripod at the right price for a long time, and this tripod fits the bill perfectly. This tripod weighs just over 1.4kg and because it is made of aluminium its strong yet light at the same time, there are 4 it quick release on each leg to accommodate and balance the tripod on different terrains. I just like this tripod because everything moves smoothly and effortlessly which is important when your shooting a video or taking photographs and it also comes with its own nylon carry bag. A plus plus for me.

This Joby tripod is very well made. It is very stable compared to many I have used. It is easy to operate, controls are intuitive like the pistol grip, which makes handling easier. It works very well for video shooting which requires smooth panning.

I don't really know why this tripod costs £80 to be honest. Yes, it has nice features like the quick release mount and the integrated water level to ensure you're shooting straight, but £80 is still a lot of money! At the end of the day, it's still a portable tripod and this isn't exactly going to perform much better than a similar tripod selling on Amazon for a much cheaper price. Maybe it might be more durable and will last longer, but when you can buy a tripod for less than £20, I don't think longevity is a huge issue when you can simply just replace it. I think this is a good tripod, I can't deny the build quality and features are great, but I just don't think they're worth £80 unfortunately.

There are some good features here, including the quick release mount, its light weight, and the compact size when closed. But potentially the best part is the hand grip which allows full control over both pan and tilt. Potentially, because it is not perfect. With a middle of the range Canon DSLR camera it struggles with the weight, put a heavy lens on that camera it you’ll probably run into difficulties, especially if you’re using the pistol grip for more than a minute or two. I think the problem is that the grip is just not big enough to give sufficient leverage to make the operation easy or comfortable. And that’s not the only issue. The tripod’s legs are not up to the task of keeping the whole thing stable, they readily flex while you’re adjusting the camera. They can also vibration considerably, and on a hard surface the feet easily slip. The bag provided might be useful for carrying it, but getting the tripod into the bag is such a fiddle it doesn’t seem worth the effort.

Excellent tripod from Joby👍 Lightweight but sturdy compact design, when closed down it’s very easily transported via a padded bag with a shoulder cord. The one handed adjustment feature is a real bonus and provides real scope for multiple angles at the touch of the thumb wheel locking mechanism.😀

I use it to capture auxiliary materials and the effect is very good. It's very convenient to adjust. Although the price is not high, the workmanship is very sturdy. Once set up, you don't need to worry about it anymore, which is great.

I chose this tripod as it was recommended in the iPhone online class I’m taking. It can be used with a cell phone, but not as delivered. I had to buy a cell phone universal clamp. With that so far working great.
