Let me tell you, the FIDO2 Security Key by Thetis is an absolute game-changer! I was stressing over potential cyber threats messing with my online accounts until I stumbled upon this. Setting it up was a breeze – clear instructions and seamless integration with all my accounts. Within a week, the cyber world went from chaos to calm, thanks to the added layer of security this key provides. What really impressed me is its compatibility with all my online platforms – emails, banking, social media – you name it, this key works with it. Plus, it's built tough, so no worries about it giving up on you. Furthermore, the performance is amazing. This makes it easy to use. Just plug in press the button on the key and there you go, you are logged in. However, if you are looking for this to unlock your pc as a physical key on the lock screen of the pc, this isn’t the key you are looking for. This is because it doesn’t work for that but only for online accounts and other use cases. If you're serious about online security and want some peace of mind, do yourself a favour and grab a FIDO2 Security Key. Trust me, you won't regret it!

If you just need a simple FIDO2 key, then this just works. It's simple to setup and doesn't pretend to include fingerprint detection /bluetooth etc. Just type your code in (that you chose) and press the button on the USB 'stick' and it authenticates that it is 'something that you have'.

Works perfectly, only thing is it doesn’t fit on my waist lanyard keyring properly as the hole is a bit small. Offers great security. Bit expensive for what it offers though. Easy to use once set up, but when first bought you need to download apps, give them administrator permissions and all sorts as well as then going onto your accounts and adding the security key.

Had this for around 2 years now still strong, it's speedy easy setup and does what it says on the tin. Good level of security anyone needs these days

Very fiddly and VERY flimsy but dose what you want it do

This can only be used on the one computer used to register it. This is not mentioned anywhere. It's easy to use once setup but I found the installation a bit of a faff. It is the size of a small flash drive and seems quite durable. As to its security I hope it is as good as a passkey and better thana password.

My first security key, seems to work just fine, easy to setup, cant complain for now. It is all made of plastic though so durability might be an issue later down the line.

...because I can find very little help online that would point me in the right direction. The Thetis website, thetis.io/ , has very basic information, the supplied instruction manual is similarly lacking in detail. I tried registering an account on the Thetis website, it assumes that I am in the USA (possibly thinking that my IP address is not in the UK!). The drop down menu only gave options for Canada, Indonesia, Malaysia, UAE and Kuwait! It will not accept my attempts at trying to manually enter a UK address and postcode. I've emailed the customer support address supplied on the packaging but have not yet had a reply. The device is not being recognised in three devices, using various USB ports on each device, the device light does come on but pressing the button makes no difference. Two are Win 10 PCs and the other is a laptop running Linux. I'm not sure whether that is because the key is faulty, without any helpful guidance from the company I cannot confirm this one way or another. On the point mentioned by other reviews here about the USB connecting part of the device, it is plastic and I agree that it looks very vulnerable. I was planning to use it with short cable even before I realised this after purchase, it was not clear in the photos what material is used. I have no other USB connectors that are plastic, they a are all metal and therefore sturdier. Edit/update - I've had an email reply to the one I mentioned in this review, but no reply from trying to contact Thetis through Amazon yet. The company claim to be a Silicon Valley company, they may well be but the information on their website and the email reply is not in normal English, US or UK types. The email had various Chinese characters showing in it, which is where the people I'm dealing with probably are. They want a lot of information, some of which I had already given to them and state that they will put me in touch with the correct re-seller. Which I find odd as the issues I am having seem to be technical ones and would probably be best sorted out by the manufacturing company. I suspect that this may be a drawn out process. I've had a response from Customer Services that was a bit more helpful, but they did not seem to fully understand the issues I was having with this product, at least the response was in a form of English that made more sense. I've really tried to both use and like this item, but I'm losing the enthusiasm to persevere with it. The websites that it can work with are described as 'many' by the company, in fact I think they are quite limited. If you want to use it with some slightly non-mainstream services it isn't compatible, when similar devices might be.

I bought this as a backup to my Yubikeys. I should have researched more about before buying. Currently very few websites support Thetis FIDO2. I do not recommended buying this as your first security key. It's not good value for money at this stage.

The software from thetis.io/start to setup the security key is a little confusing since it covers two devices, the security key and the finger print scanner! just run the downloaded .exe file as administrator, and plug in the key and the software recognizes the key then click on FIDO and set your PIN. the rest of the instructions are good.
