Amazingly great product!
This stuff works just like they say it will. I had been using Hoppes for the past 40 years and I'm so glad I found this product. The Hoppes burns off on newer more modern weapons such as AR-15's. The Hoppes also attracts dirt and dust. I tried an experiment with 2 different AR's, one cleaned with Hoppes and the other with the Slip Products. I shot 120 rounds of the same ammo through both AR's. I took them apart and the one cleaned with Hoppes was filthy like I had shot a ton of ammo through it. But the oil was gone. At what point did it burn off and at what round did I start shooting without lubricant on the BCG and barrel? I then took apart the other one and the first thing I saw was the sheen of the oil on the BCG , chamber and the barrel and it barely looked like I had shot anything through it as it is so much cleaner than the one cleaned and lubed with Hoppes! I mean it is a night and day difference. When I first started to try and spray the oil, it wouldn't come out in spray but instead a straight line that went across my workbench. I called and spoke with the female half of this business. She was very kind and said she was sending me a new sprayer and it would go out in the morning and I would have it in a day or two. I had called just before 5p.m. And had it the day after. I would love to see a test where they somehow monitor when the lubricant is burned up with the Hoppes because firing with no lubricant is like starting your car with no oil. It is like taking sandpaper and sanding down all the parts in your gun or engine and accelerates wear dramatically compared to having proper lubricant in place before using the firearm or starting your car. I can tell you I am only using Slip from now on and it will be interesting to see how much longer the new AR that I just used the Slip on compared to the older one that has only seen Hoppes it's entire life. I like to maintain my stuff at home and when I go out to shoot, I can and not have problems. I have gone with other people who don't maintain their stuff correctly and I'm having fun and their frustrated because they are trying to make a gun or one time 3 guns work. Now with a much better product to help me and the proof is there when taking it apart and seeing there was still lubricant there for one and for two, it was much much cleaner as the Slip didn't attract the dirt like the Hoppes does, I'm looking forward to using my stuff a lot longer before repairs are needed. I guarantee if you try the same experiment I did, you will be using Slip from now on. Just seeing the major differences between the two firearms is shocking. I thought I was keeping my firearms clean and lubed but I had just been using a dirt collection system that the lubricant burned off at some time during the time spent shooting after the cleaning. I was causing myself to work harder to get the weapon clean again and causing my weapons to wear out much faster than they should because of the oil starvation. Do yourself a favor if you don't believe me, buy the small sample size of Slip and take this experiment. You'll be so glad you did. I am in now way affiliated with this company, I have only talked to them once to get the sprayer replaced and I paid full price for all of their products. The other thing is that with Hoppes, that cleaning solvent is poison and smells horrible. The Slip is biodegradable and smells like citrus. Not only does it work considerably better but it is non toxic as well. My wife didn't mind me cleaning the guns in the house now as it is turned cold. She also likes the citrus smell. I did try to take pictures with my iPhone but it was just to dark to show the difference between the two products. If you try it you will see the night and day difference.

Protect your weapon and our environment
I only write reviews for items that I feel deserve it. I clean my weapons inside and my wife finds the odor more noticeable than she prefers. I have been using Frog Lube since its faint odor is not offensive. But it just took too much time to get her hair dryer to heat the parts, spread the lube, let it dissolve to be absorbed into the metal pores, let it dry dry then wipe off the dried lube. About a hour process from start to finish. SLP 2000 is synthetic, non-toxic and ODOR FREE! I used it for the first time yesterday and I am impressed enough to take time to endorse it. Simply wipe all dirty parts with a dry cloth or lint free shop towel and wet a cleaning patch with SLP 2000, rub the odor free, synthetic lube on all surface, wipe them dry and reassemble the weapon. Took just a few minutes as opposed to about an hour with Frog Lube. I’m doing my part to protect our environment, keep my weapon protected and functioning flawlessly and not offend my wife’s olfactory senses. Win-Win. Git sum.

Don't Mistake This For EWL! Good Lube, But It's NOT EWL.
So, I'm an occasional idiot. An idiot that enjoys a little 'Retail Therapy' shopping on Amazon. So sometimes - and w/ one-click checkout active - I took to Amazon in search of Slip 2000 Extreme Weapons Lube, aka., 'EWL'. I've begun using Slip2k almost solely on all my firearms. I discovered Extreme Weapons GREASE about 2yrs ago, & was so thoroughly impressed that I decided to begin using Slip 2000 EWL (the Extreme Weapons Lube, NOT just 'Gun Lube' made also by Slip2k), too. When I went to order, I became momentarily distracted by my wonderful (and loud) young children, who were having an urgent sounding argument down the hall - so quickly, I located a seller's image of (what I took for) Slip 2k EWL, and clicked the 'purchase' button. My 'One-Click' settings did the rest, and 2 days later, imagine my surprise when this damn 'Gun Lube' shows up instead of my EWL! I was actually pretty pissed off, since I was planning on lubing up and immediately going to take some target practice. I review my purchases, positive that some idiot at either Amazon, the direct seller, or the fulfillment contractor had goofed. But...the idiot was me. In my distraction, I'd pulled the wrong product entirely. Fore-warned is fore-armed. Double check your purchase, because Slips2k's 'Gun Lube' and their 'Extreme Weapons Lube look practically flipping identical either at a glance, or at a distance! BUT - There IS a pretty cool saving grace to my folly. The 'Gun Lube', even though not as super performing as the EWL, is an outstanding product in its own right. I use it on my (many) knives - not simply for lubrication, but also for the blade & body, to protect it from rust, corrosion, et al. It's also excellent lube for locks; as in padlocks, combo locks, and if you've got a sticky doorknob in your house, take it apart and lube the friction-bearing surfaces w/ 'Gun Lube' & it'll work smoothly and effortlessly again. Hinges on both my barn's & my basement's exterior doors (used to) tend to get stiff & even develop surface rust. I applied 'Gun Lube' one time a couple of months ago just prior to our rainy & cold season, and they've remained rust-free and very well lubricated w/ only that single application. All of Slip 2000's products - the lubes, I mean - stay 'wet' for a really, really long time. It's seriously amazing to me how well Slip's products actually live up to the 'hype'. TL;DR: 1). Don't buy the wrong lube. 2). Slip 2000 is legitimately a high-performance, reliable lube.

It's a GOOD PRODUCT
It's good lube for the critical wear parts. Hammer, trigger lands, safety pivot pin, grip safety, slide stop and saftey detent pins, slide lock pin, locking lugs, mag release, barrel link pin, barrel bushing, recoil spring plug (Heck I even rub some on the recoil spring and guide). Run some down your slide rails and you're ready to re-assemble. I'm old, I'm a 1911 freak ( as if you haven't guessed ) so there you have it. GET SOME!
