Stainless Steel Double Boiler Pot for Melting Chocolate, Candy and Candle Making (18/8 Steel, 2 Cup Capacity, 480ML)

Comes clean after use: I've read that whatever is used for melting wax for candles is basically not usable for anything else after that. I used this double-boiler to melt soy pellets, bees wax ,and items for diy lotions, and with hot water and a good dish soap (I use DAWN) it comes clean everytime. Initially, with the soy wax, I was a little worried about it coming fully clean but I took a chance anyhow, and I found that really just wiping it out before the wax dries is helpful, and then hot water and dishsoap worked. There has been no evidence left of wax residue. The double-boiler is stainless steel so I feel it's very durable and won't just fall apart. It worked well for my melting purposes. It is a fairly good size for small batches, and comes clean. It's a simple product that I've found to be handy when I diy! All win-win for me. I'd recommend this product and buy it again when the time comes. I might go a little larger next time though. I believe this one is around 4 cups. I've only had it for a few months so not sure how it will work long-term, but since there's no coating on the finish, and it's stainless, I anticipate it will last for quite a while. Also, soy and bees wax are more natural products so maybe other waxes would have a different result.

It was very useful when melting my chocolate candy mold for my grandma birthday party favors for the family and guests to take with them.

worked great until the handle broke off 1 year later! The handle i not screwed into the bowl - it's poorly sodered on to it, and with washing, drying,picking up / putting down - the soder failed and the handle came off. Other than that - it worked well. the bowl is definitely stainless steel, and solid - just not the handle!

Exactly what I wanted and am very pleased. Hopefully it really is stainless steel and does not end up rusting as so many items seem to nowadays.

I look forward to creating homemade soaps and lotion bars for myself and for gifts.

This is perfect for melting chocolate for tempering

Not worth the money

I chose this instead of a double burner saucepan and glad that I did. Just the right size, very solid and so easy to clean. It actually fits several saucepan sizes and melts the chocolate extremely quickly. Great little gadget
