Wilson Hex Soccer Ball

I bought this for my 5 year old son who is playing his first year of organized soccer. The ball is the perfect size. It is also made of a sponge-backed synthetic leather that is very soft to the touch and soft on the foot. This is great because the ball is easily kicked and is not too hard when it hits the kids on the head, etc. I was surprised how durable the material is also. Our ball is constantly being kicked across cement and asphalt and shows no sign of wear. I will say that the yellow color of the ball is not quite a vivid and bright as it looks in the picture. This could just be my computer, but be aware that it is more muted yellow color. If you are looking for a neon yellow, this is not the right ball for you. I am sure we will be buying the larger sizes of this ball as the kids grow.

This has met our needs for my son's soccer team, where he has to provide his own ball for practices. Yellow is not only his favorite color, but it also stands out well. This ball is well made, and came inflated (bonus!) It is eye catching too. I've seen his coaches picking it up at practices and using it when showing the kids something. Great buy.

The ball is much lighter compared to the ones I'm used to.The surface is too smooth and is hard to control the ball since it keeps slipping away from under the foot.spend $10 more and get a better one, not recommended unless you're on a really tight budget.

Just a note to other soccer-ball novices: I thought this was the smallest size ball available, but it is not; it's actually not even that much smaller than a full-sized ball.The smallest size is actually a "mini" ball, size 1.That said, this seems like an okay ball; about right for how inexpensive it is. Nothing fantastic, though. The mini ball I did end up finding (Franklin brand, I believe) almost seems better quality and was much less.

We got this ball in 'red', and the ball is actually RED. The markings are exactly right, the grey part though, is red. This is fine for us since our son's favorite color is red, it just wasn't what is shown and what we were expecting. The ball arrived pumped up and in good condition.

Highly recommend as a cheap training ball. Definetly not game ball quality, but very durable. My son has one from three years ago (U5 he is currently U8). That ball has seen hell and back (we have a cocker spaniel who loves eating balls) and it still holds air, which is more than I can say for more expensive offerings from large global apparel makers...

My son is 3 and needed a ball to kick around and just learn the basics of soccer and this was it. The ball is more of a golden yellow and not quite the neon yellow it looks in the picture. My son loves it and it stays inflated and it was less than ten bucks so you can't beat that. I would highly recommend it!

I purchased this ball for my son who trains several times per week with his travel club. He also uses it on non-training days in the back yard. It is holding up very well, and my son thinks it is cool with the silver, black and red design. The price was good for a ball of this quality. I would purchase this ball again in the future.

Great ball to play with.We have to improvise when pumping as the pin sold in Australia does not seem to fit.

Ball looks nice itself, but the quality is low. Played once on a grass field and the ball got a lot of scratches.Coating is made of soft and not durable material.Would not buy again. Very disappointed.
