My Everything (2:48) Review: Her Strongest album - I have listened to every Ariana Grande album and this album always standouts to me. This my opinion of every tack: 1. Intro - Strong intro, not too much to say other than it could have been a full song. 2. Problem - This song was way overplayed on the radio, but since I haven't heard it on the radio in a while I can enjoy the song again. But can you blame radio, it is an amazing single. 3. One Last Time - I think the lyrics are very honest. But this is not one of my standout favorites. 4. Why Try - This song automatically stood out to me. The melody in the chorus will automatically suck you in. Even though it is catchy it does have heartbreaking lyrics. 5. Break Free - This Is a huge club banger. It was a great single. 6. Best Mistake - I actually love this track it is one of my favorites. I like how mellow the song is honestly. 7. Be My Baby - This one took a little bit to grow on me. But I Love her fast singing here. It is a great dance track. 8. Break Your Heart Right Back - It took me a while to grow on this song as well. But I Love the 90's throwback it has to it. 9. Love Me Harder - I could see this being a great single. But to me it is not a standout for me. Although I will say that The Weeknd and Ariana work well together. 10. Just A Little Bit Of Your Heart - This Is a strong ballad. Ariana shines on this song. Not That her vocals have ever been unimpressive. 11. Hands On Me - A great dance track, I have played this song so many times. 12. My Everything - At first I wasn't sure what I thought of this song. At least until I finally sat down and listened to the lyrics in depth. It is a beautiful ballad though, the truth is you never know what you got until it's gone. 13. Bang Bang - This was a great song, although i felt this was overplayed on the radio to. 14. Only 1 - I really love this bonus song. I Really connect with this song. 15. You Don't Know Me - It is a pretty truthful track. Do Not judge someone on what you see. The production is a little different, but I Feel it all worked out. 16. Cadillac Song - A great song about reminiscing on someone you once liked. I connect with this one. 17. Too Close - Ariana is ready to take her best guy friend to the next level on this song. I Had one of those situations before. But anyways, this is another great club song. 18. Baby I (Feat. Taro Hakase) - This was a great song. I wasn't sure if I like the violin in this track, but the more I listened to it, the more I like it. This Is a great album, Dangerous Woman was also amazing, for some reason this album just tops that one just by a small percent in my opinion. I Am just excited to hear what the 4th album will sound like. Review: she is simply grande - love this cd. contains most all of my favorites. just such a beautiful voice.

Riding the Wave of Hip Pop
After her first release with its mixture of modern pop and old school it was clear Ariana could go in either direction for her sophomore release. I really enjoyed her Babyface produced ballads so I was hoping for more old school but this new release leans definitely more toward the high energy pop side. She started out as a confident R & B crooner while now she is controlled by the beat. So, with Yours Truly its time to chill while with My Everything it's time to party. There are many pop oriented producers this time around like Max Martin, Ryan Tedder and Zedd with hip hop styling from Big Sean and Childish Gambino and Iggy Izalea and even sampling on Break Your Heart Right Back. These tracks are excellent with cool collaborators like the hits Problem with Iggy, and Bang Bang with Jessie J and Nicki Minaj and Love Me Harder with The Weeknd but the ballads this time around are weak enough to feel like transitions. So as a result, Ariana feels like an artist in transition. The new faster paced Ariana is generating radio hits and is a good contrast to her previous blend of smooth R&B and hip hop. But while this style choice is working in spots, it also feels like her own unique style is getting lost in the shuffle. The beauty of Yours Truly was her ability to adopt an old school vibe while still sounding fresh and original. Now her sound is just like all the others. She also seems to be trying harder this time around. Even on the great track Problem she sounds like she is trying to keep up the fast pace while on Yours Truly she was much more in control and was subtly reeling you in with her smooth style. Yet there are elements that save this release from being too derivative. The title song is actually a gorgeous ballad perfect for Ariana and she wisely chooses to bookend the non-deluxe release with a taste at the beginning and the complete song at the end. She also still keeps her unique sound present even when there are hip-hop partners trying to get heard. Her vocals are not drowned out by the beats and synthesizer. She is just not given as much of a chance to shine here. Where's Babyface when you need him? The other plus for My Everything is that the songs have a positive "girl power" theme which projects a modern sensibility. While she successfully channels old school, she CAN be modern too. She would just benefit from songs with more emotional depth and less on the beat phrasing. Her voice is too good to be wasted on EDM

Love this album.
This Ariana Grande CD is probably one of her best albums. Granted I love the new "Eternal Sunshine" too.

Love the Deluxe version!
Wow, where do I start. I love Ariana Grande so I obviously had to buy all of her albums. I like to listen to specific albums at specific times, so I like getting CDs for that occasion. I purchased the deluxe version so that I would have all of her songs on one CD rather than having both the regular and the deluxe. My Everything is not my favorite album by her, but it does have a lot of classics that I still bop to to this day. This album takes me back in time to her 2014 era and it’s so nostalgic. The package arrived nicely without any scratches or blemishes on the outside or the inside. It played perfectly in my CD player and will definitely gets its use out of it considering how much it gets played!
