Fitbit Flex 2, Magenta (US Version)

This item was a replacement for a Flex (1). I received my first Fitbit Flex as a promotion with a phone I purchased from my cell phone carrier. I had tried other devices (Misfit) and I was not please. The first few months I had problems with my Fitbit, but Fitbit customer service solved my problems efficiently and promptly. I had my Flex for about 2 years when I lost it. No idea where it is. I tried everything. After about a month without a Fitbit, I decided I really wanted a new one. So I purchased a Fitbit Flex 2. I did so through Amazon (because Amazon is awesome!) and also purchased a 3 year extended plan ***!!!! I RECOMMEND GETTING THE EXTENDED WARRANTY*****!!!!! I have had my new Flex 2 for about a month now and everything is going very well. The app on my phone updated recently, it now looks like the online dashboard, which is very easy to use. While the original Flex is (in my opinion) a good product. The Flex 2 is an improvement. Several improvements that have noticed and that are important to me are as follows... 1) Flex 2 is slimmer; it is not as bulky as the Flex 1. The wristband is also sleeker than the original 2) Flex 2 sends notifications (text messages, incoming calls) 3) Flex 2 has better swimming features. This is important to me because I enjoy swimming. I noticed the Flex 1 rarely noticed I was swimming.. Although, right now it is the middle of January and I have yet to check out these features, I am looking forward to the summer much more than I have in the past. So far I haven't noticed any negatives associated with the Flex 2. I am quite satisfied with this product. I also recommend it to anyone. If you are reading this review trying to decide which Fitbit device to get, I recommend the Flex 2. For the price (less than $80) it is a great product.

I love my new fitbit. It has really helped me see my progress which helps keep me moving. I did not realize when I purchased it that it would be able to track my sleep, but this has been both valuable and an eye opener. I was supersized to learn that this particular Fitbit does not use heart beet to track activity. I needed a tracker that was easy to wear, and could track swim laps and this Fitbit met those two challenges. I have noticed that at times it significantly underestimates and sometimes overestimates my steps, but I still find the information I get valuable. I have had trouble getting it to sink with MyFitnessPal which is disappointing because I am both more familiar with tracking food with that app, and the Fitbit food tracking is not as intuitive and takes more work to figure out calories. Overall though, despite some of the draw backs, this has been a vital addition to my getting healthy effort. Very happy with my purchase.

I purchased this about a year ago, when my original Fitbit Flex quit working; I liked the new smaller lighter size, etc., and it was inexpensive, so I bought. Immediately I had a problem with the band, the holes in it were obviously a size too small for the metal pin to fit--it took hours of trying before it would clasp successfully (and hours more to release). It was difficult to sync up with my iPhone, but it finally did, and seemed to work well enough after that--until, after a few months, it suddenly refused to sync. After days of trying to find an answer, I finally came across some online instructions and did a reset to the device; then it worked again. An ongoing problem was the short battery life--two days and it's indicating "medium" instead of "full" charge, and by the end of the third day it's showing "low." When it shows "low" forget it--might as well charge it right then, because "low" in reality means two or three more hours (if you're lucky) and it's dead. Speaking of "dead" that's what it is now--the device itself still lights up three indicator lights but it's back to the non-syncing again; and this time nothing seems to bring it back. In addition to the hardware problems, the software is not so great either--one thing I hate is the seemingly constant "upgrades" which never actually seem to resolve any problems, or actually improve the usability of the product. My recommendation: if you don't mind short battery life, go ahead and buy, but get the service policy, because you will need it!

Waterproof, I can use this one showering and swimming. Replaces an Alta that I lost, that replaced a charge 1 that didn’t stay charged. Battery usually lasts over a week. With just the dots I kinda mind the display but enjoy the better battery life. Works well with the Fitbit app. Miss the stairs feature of the charge. Two straps small and big. Small is light and small like a silicon cause bracelet.

Estoy decepcionada de este producto, he tenido previamente dos modelos de formato reloj y nada que ver con el flex 2. Esta prácticamente nuevo y tengo que resetearlo mínimo 4 veces al día, si sigue en esta situación dejaré de usarlo, no es práctico ver si está funcionando. Mejor escojan otro modelo de fitbit.

This is a great product for anyone trying to start and maintain a fitness routine. Super delivery by Amazon, and the flex 2 does what it s meant to. What I like best is that it keeps reminding you to move every hour - so fitness becomes part of your entire day. The Indian food database is pretty low so it's a bit annoying to look up and add the occasional masala dosa but I'm guessing it gets recorded every time one adds it on. I ve also tried it in the pool and it survived. My main reason for buying this is that it's waterproof- the s battery drains out every 3 days but it's not really that much of a big deal to re-charge. Except that I don't want to walk around while it's charging - I'm losing step count. Careful - it's obsessive and you end up wanting to beat the previous numbers - which is exactly what is needed. Just buy. I gave it 4 stars only cause it does not actively track yoga and swimming gets logged in only after a full 10 minutes. For a beginner to swim ten minutes continuously is a stretch.
