I bought this to help relieve Piriformis syndrome. If anyone else has this issue, this cream is a lifesaver. People complain about the price, but I’d pay double! I pulled the muscle 10 weeks ago when running and I have not been the same since. I’ve seen doctors…. a physical therapist, a pain specialist, and a chiropractor. Nothing helped. I started using this cream a week ago and the pain is 90% gone. It’s extraordinary! I have no idea how it works because it doesn’t smell strong, but all of a sudden I’m able to stretch bend and twist - and just move without any pain whatsoever. Im back to hot yoga. I’m obsessed! As I get older and my body continues to fall apart, I’m going to start bathing in this stuff.

I've been meaning to write this review for a long time. I bought Penetrex for the first time last year. I have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome Type 3--Hypermobility type. I'm close to a black-out bingo for dislocations and subluxations. My ankles don't go out of place, but everything else does. I go in for regular massages to get my joints manipulated so that they go back into place. Typically, I have several ribs out of place--in addition to my elbows, wrists, shoulders, vertebrae, jaw, and so on. When I first tried Penetrex, it seemed like it was working really well, but I thought maybe I just wanted it to work. I took it in to my massage therapist and when she couldn't get several of my ribs back in after about an hour, I suggested she try Penetrex and give me her opinion. She applied it, commenting that the smell was really nice, (it smells like candy canes.) Within a couple minutes, she gasped as my stubborn ribs popped back into place and said, "What kind of black magic was that?!!" Then, she tried it again to make sure it wasn't a fluke. Nope. It loosened up the inflamed tendons and things went back in and stayed in. Now, I bring it every massage and she is talking about getting it for other clients. I also recommend it regularly to others with EDS and Fibro. It helps with pain relief too. I've tried A LOT of different things and I go through A LOT of Penetrex. I'm applying it to multiple locations everyday. I got this two-pack to carry the smaller one around in my purse everywhere. It's great for migraines and TMJ also. All in all, I'm just amazed at how well this works. I've been able to cut back on all my other pain medications, both OTC and RX. It just feels like a miracle product. I'd give it more than five stars if I could. I've seen other people asking whether it helps with nerve pain. My mother uses it for Fibromyalgia and says it works really well.

I have many inflammatory issues (guitarist with old sports injury arthritis, elbow and Achilles tendonitis, shoulder impingements, lower back issues, piriformis syndrome in one hip, etc.) This is my favorite arnica montana delivery device. There are times when I am on a job where I play guitar for 8 to 12 hours, and then have to do it again the next day. The only way that is possible is to coat my hands with Penetrex at bedtime and sleep with them in compression gloves. But the next day I can keep on playing. The cream is light, with an appealing scent of faint mint/wintergreen/cinnamon. It is not overwhelming like Ben Gay. Also, there is zero heat like Ben Gay style products. One does not feel it doing anything, the aches and pains just go away. It rubs in to leave a thin paste at first, which turns slightly greasy, but that goes away rather quickly. I will at times have to wipe it off my hands once it has some time to absorb the good stuff. But it dissipates on its own over twenty minutes or so. For me the important thing is how the active ingredients really do penetrate quickly and effectively. I put some on my lower back and my elbow to focus on how it feels on the skin, and by the time I finished writing this review both spots had their pain reduced. It is not a miracle cure, but I do not notice the pain like I did before the application and my movement feels much freer.
