Pics poor quality
Good book but some pics are hard to see. Kind of like an old copy machine print that's been copied a dozen times.

Excellent for hiking
This book is a definitive book used by the military to train soldiers how to navigate. Everything you would ever want to know about navigation and then some. The book explains in simple steps. What you need to do to figure out where you are. Where you going to go and where you wanna be. When the Military grid reference system first came out it was originally classified top secret. This book is a must read for all people who venture in the woods or plane are going into the wilderness on long treks. I bring the book along with me and refresh my skills while I am out there in the woods. When navigation is a perishable skill....Which means that if you do not practice it on a regular basis, You can lose your proficiency and speed in determining your location andsecond guess yourself.

Replacement for my old land nav manual.
My old land nav manual finally fell apart. Nice addition to my tech library and a nice refresher.

Almost unreadable
The print in this book is tiny and blurry. It looks like a copy of a copy.

A must book
A US Army field manual. Great training and reference. Bought it to retain some lost skills. Much advised purchased if you want to learn navigation. Get a good lenstatic compass. Don't go cheap, you won't get to lost. Just a suggestion.

disappointed on the tiny font size and the very poor quality of the diagrams. Everything in black and white and almost impossible to read because of the general poor quality of the print very disappointing quality

The print is not great and it is very heavy going full of information though and detailed, but bit too much I think
