NYX Professional Makeup Soft Matte Lip Cream, Addis Ababa

I purchased the Addis Ababa shade and love it. It's a true fushia pink. I have about 6 other shades of the NYC matte lip cream as well. I'm not a fan of the formula, but can beat the price. The nice thing about the formula is it's slow to dry and that gives you the advantage of creating custom colors, but the creaminess makes it streaky an difficult to provide even coverage. I often need two coats and the first has to completely dry before the second which takes at least five minutes. I feel the applicator is a also contributing to the streakiness, but I just pat it on my lips and use and eyeshadow brush.Also, my first time using this didn't understand why it wasn't matte, it was because it didn't dry completely. You have to put on and wait without moving your lips and keeping them slightly open. The staying power is decent about 6 hours. You probably need to repply after eating, especially, if it's oily food. This is kind of a high maintenance formula but if you take your time and apply it right you'll get good results.

Hate it! I am a lipstick junkie and own every brand out there. I watched a few youtube videos that claimed nyx has a great matte lipcream at a cheaper price, i figured why not give it a try, it's under 10 bucks, Well it's definitely not matte! I got home from work and because i still had my matte ( Anastasia ) lipstick on i tested the nyx on my hand, 10 min later gave it a soft rub and it still had not dried, i waited another 15 min, gave it a soft rub, still had not dried, i than wipped off the Anastasia, applied the nyx and it never matted and it wiped right of with a dry cotton round. uhk....will never buy again!

I bought this color for my wedding reception and it was amaginggg. I tried Maybelline Matte Color Stay before this and literally COULD NOT get it off. This is not so aggressive but does last a long time. I've worn it several times since and it's wonderful. I was never a "makeup person" before my wedding but knew I needed something extra for the big day. I liked it so much that I've started to wear it daily since then.

Goes on super smoothly, feels wonderful. It's not sticky at all, even though some more expensive lipsticks are. It's truly matte, doesn't really leave any shine. I ordered Addis Ababa because I wanted a bright pink color, and it's super bright and pink.I recommend looking at other pictures/swatches of this on Google, the Amazon pictures don't portray the colors wonderfully.

Omg , I love it! Great product for such a great price, recently I bought a imitation of Anastasia Beverly hills, and theya said was a great quality, I paid $10 for it, and it was a total waste of money, I trough it away, it was so sticky. Then I tried this one and I paid only $6 for it, and I still can't believe it, haw beautiful it looks, and is so smooth, I just love it!!!!

It's true that for this to look it's best you really have to exfoliate the life out of your lips, but I think that's the case for any matte lip color. Still, I love the texture of this product. I'm a bigger fan of the neutral colors, but can't deny the pigmentation of their brighter numbers are just amazing. A little goes a long way. Also, can't beat that price!

My lips are very pale and I'm always looking for products that will last a long time and are bright. I will admit that this color is BRIGHT. So when I want it to be not so bright I simply just apply this to my bottom lip, smootch them together and with a lip brush, I spread it all over my lips. Lasts a long time and it looks fabulous! Definitely buying it again!

Beautiful, happy spring color. Very easy to apply. This was my first time trying a matte lip color and I didn't like how it felt or looked on my lips, but that's just my preference and doesn't factor in with my rating.

After ordering my first nyx soft matte lip cream a few weeks back and falling in love I decided to buy another shade and yet again have fallen in love.The creams are so so soft and comfortable on the lips, the pigmentation is crazy good and the lasting power is pretty good for saying they aren't a liquid lipstick. If you are after a nice matte lip without the uncomfortable drying feeling then these are diffinately a good shout.The only thing I would highly recommend about these is that you go and watch swatch videos on YouTube as the colours don't look the same as they do on the photos on here so i think it's best to go watch someone putting them on before you pick one!Beautiful, still in love and will be raving about these for the rest of my life!
