Did exactly what I wanted for a little under two months, then one of the USB ports died. I would avoid if I were you.

Prise en main ultra fastoche. Plug and switch.

I connected my home and office computers in this, and also a USB hub to one of the USB ports of the KVM. Switching between computers is quick (less than 2 seconds), so all should be good. However I noticed a strange thing: my Logitech Unifying adapter was connected to the external USB hub, and the computer stopped recognizing the click of the center wheel (usually used for panning documents/pictures/drawings). All other mouse and keyboard functions seemed to be working as should. Connected the Unifying adapter to the mouse port on the KVM, and all worked fine again. My Loupedeck Live shuts down when switching between computers. Since it uses Ethernet over USB, I think it has something to do with network security. But that would be a plus. The only con I have is that pictures lead to think that it uses USB 3.0 ports (blue). The actual product has black ports, and with further inspection, there are not enough contacts for USB 3.0, so these are USB 2.0 at best. Since I won't use the KVM for storage (neither should you, as constant constant disconnecting devices without unmounting will cause damage), this is fine.

Jan 25, 2022 update. Bought this in Oct of '21. This morning, unit failed to see keyboard on both PC's. Had to remove entire set up and go back to normal. Past deadline for return so now it gets returned to the trash can. Lasted ONLY 3 months! To be fair, the device works. I can also hook my Joystick to the USB port, and have it work on both PC's. The mouse and KB work on both PC's. Switching between the two there is a delay for "my" mouse to catch up, it's a Logitect gaming mouse. My biggest issue, is running an older game. Switching between the PC's while the same game is running on both computers causes issues, and crashes the game on both PC's. Before you say it, NO, I can NOT get updates to this game any longer, it's from early 2000's. Individually they work fine, I just can't change between the two PC's to play them both. Seems the game thinks the mouse and KB were disconnected, there for, causing a crash. As for updating bios or drivers, that has NOTHING to do with what's happening. The whole reason for getting this switch was to play the game on both PC's at the same time. At this point, it's not worth it to me. Before installing this switch, I could "Alt-Tab" between the game. The switch actually disconnects the feed between the PC's, had I known that I would not have bought it. I doubt this will help but if you have a newer game, it may work.
