NICE QUALITY ITEM, HARD TO FING WITH COVER

I got this pan to make it easy to transport cupcakes for the holidays. The construction is awesome, and the dome lid allows plenty of room for decorated cupcakes. However, I took a star off because it is nearly impossible to get the lid off the pan! I was imagining myself or a family member trying, and having to put so much effort that cupcakes wound up being flung all over the place. So ... not sure if this will work, but what I've done is cut each of 4 corners of the lid halfway up the side. My guess is that this will give enough "play" to make the lid pop off much easier. The other thing I will try, if needed, is to duct tape longer "handles" on the end to give more leverage.

I decided it was time to get better quality cookware. I love the color of the raw aluminum and it helps me keep track of how clean the pans are. Having a uniform and clean surface is important for consistency in the finished cook. The aluminum is very sturdy and works extremely well. The aluminum is perfect for my cooking style which allows for a little longer cook time at a lower, consistent heat. The only thing to be aware and cautious of is how easy they can scratch each other if slid into a stack. I just gently stack them rather than forcing metal to slide on metal. I find that the aluminum does an excellent job to create an easy surface to remove food from.

I love Nordic Ware and the fact that it had a lid.

I love the quality of this pan, but the lid doesn't snap on. It barely attached to the pan, but it's better than not having a lid.
