This is a great safety device, every car should have one. I decided to buy it after watching a YouTube video where a man tested it on a laminated windshield. He was able to create a web of dents, then pushed the windshield with his feet and it came down. A+

Looks like it will do the job, though I hope I never have to find out. Little on big size to find a handy place to store it, tight fit in a center console.

I love it.. It makes me feel safe knowing if there is accident and car gets on fire or if icy road and go over bridge there is a way to escape.

The tool is well constructed. I mounted it using the supplied hardware to the drivers side door panel. This is a rescue tool, want to have it in the car, but hopefully never have to use it. If I did have to use it, it looks like it will do the job.

This tool is made for tempered glass windows in vehicles, also called safety glass. Many side windows are made of tempered glass. Tempered glass breaks into small chunks when hit with a tool like this. Most windshields and rear windows in your car, and sometimes side windows, are made of laminated glass, which is two sheets of glass glued together. This tool won’t work on those. Nor is this tool made for the annealed, etc. glass windows in your house, which do not break like tempered glass.

I've always wanted one of these emergency tools for the car. So finally buy one and decided to test it out. We have an old shed in the backyard so let one of the older kids use the hammer side to hit the old window on the broken shed glass door. It DID shatter a bit but it didn't break (glass didn't fall out) and after throwing two rocks at the glass to see if they would dislodge, the glass still did not fall out. I'm not sure if we didn't hit it hard enough with the emergency tool or if glass doors are made out of something stronger than car windows?? Also, we tested the razor part to see if it would cut through something. I didn't have a belt like object so just took some package cardboard. It would not cut through the cardboard, but maybe it's not meant to cut through that sort of material.

Es una herramienta que he comprado por notas que he visto en las noticias. nunca la he usado pero si la he probado en un vidrio de una puerta de un carro que teníamos arrumbada si funciona la estrello y el resto lo quite con las manos con la navaja corte tela e ixtle.

Para mí es una herramienta imprescindible para el coche, nunca sabes cuando lo vas a necestiar y no está de mal llevarlo siempre en la guantera. Simplemente tiene muy buena calidad y es muy práctico. Para mí la mejor marca, sin duda lo recomiendo.
