Super Bird Creations SB881 Seagrass Tent, Small/Medium Bird Size, 8” x 7” x 8”

This is perfect little hut for my lovely boy, Helios. However, like all males, he loves to see how things are constructed and see if he can tear it apart. The sides and bottom are attached via plastic rings. This part, he left alone, surprisingly, but has gone after the loop at the top. Made of a jute-like material, he's started to shred it. Luckily, I am lifelong Macrame (knot typing) expert, so have more jute around. My hubby just took my jute and added enough material to add extra stability, by weaving along existing lines. We did take off the plastic rings, which appear to stretch, reassembled the rings into another toy for our girl Conure (different cage), and she loves her new plastic rope toy ladder.

My budgies LOVE this thing. They crawl all around inside of it, on the roof, on the walls, you name it. I love the material too. I think my birdies find it as a safe spot hidden away from humans lol. My birdies sleep on it as it is close to the top of the cage. It is a perfect size for my budgies but nothing really bigger. It took them a little bit to explore it and crawl around but they loved it eventually. It swings around and it’s so cute!! My budgies like to chew and it is still holding up so yay! It is seagrass which is easy for birds to chew. Not to mention it smells nice lol. I’d recommend this for your bird and it DOES NOT cause aggression like some other soft hut or whatever. Seagrass is the best material, nothing else for a home like this.

I give it a 4 star only because it was non toxic and price valued ok...unfortunately, I gave my lovebird & Indian ringneck this play toy & w/in 8 hours coming home f/m work and almost was completely vanished : 0

Our Green Cheek Conure loves this - he sleeps inside, he plays with his bagel rings hanging from the sides, he chews on the seagrass - this is probably the 7th tent we purchase as he eventually shreds them to the point that we are unable to put the tents back together (but then we create little mats out of the pieces for him to climb on with endless playing opportunities!). We are still able to supervise him while he naps and plays as it is open on the sides. I chose this as it is a natural material and completely safe for him to chew, sleep, and play. He doesn't seem interested in chewing on the plastic rings which was my first concern before purchasing. Along with a few selected toys, this is the most successful purchase I made for him - this little tent is like a shelter and a playpen for him. I now buy them 3 at a time!

Our Black Capped Conure loves his tent! We originally had a fabric one for him that was a little smaller and he would not go in it and was scared of it. Since he has a straw platform like this tent, I decided to give it a try and it was an instant hit! He also has a lot more room to move in it which I think helps. He might spend more time on top of it than inside of it, but he definitely naps inside! I saw someone had mentioned their bird got stuck in the large rings so I used some plastic links I had from a bulk pack to replace them all and to use two metal clips on each end to hang it more securely. I do think that the large round clips they provide are too big and I can see how injuries to birds have happened from these when they are attached. To rate this on exactly how I feel about it, I would give it a 7/10 in terms of being ready to go (needing to change links for safety, it doesn't come assembled, etc), but overall it's still a 10/10. Having to make small adjustments doesn't matter to me when I know my bird is happy!

Our Quaker loves these seagrass huts. Fleece tents are NOT safe for parrots—they can get tangled in them, or worse, if they ingest the fibers they will get stuck in their crop. Our Quaker cozies up to this, runs through it to play, and the seagrass weave makes it easy to stash treats for foraging. Great size for an average Quaker parrot. Just to be safe, we aired it out for a few days on arrival. Highly recommended!

Hit or miss! I keep getting damaged products! Disappointed

Update- I ended up with two budgies who for the first week completely ignored the hut. The past several days the hut has become the center of their world. They spend all their hours shredding it. I don't think the hut is long for the world but am going to have to get another one perhaps after giving them a chance to explore some of their other toys. I ordered this in preparation for a new bird. I previously had a bird that became gravely ill after ingesting fleece and had another become trapped by string so it was important for me to get a bird safe hut. This one looks great and the plastic rings are easily used for other toys in the event the hut gets chewed. Will reorder for sure if needed.

One of the best bird toys I have ever seen. My cockatiel has not checked it out yet - he takes time to get used to any new toy but unlike some of his other toys , he isn’t scared of this one, so I hope he’ll go in and explore soon !

I've bought this product twice now over the past couple years. My green cheek loves it! I love that it's safe for her to chew and doesn't trigger her hormones. This is a great alternative to the "cozy huts" that are not recommended because birds to choke on the fabric fibers and this promote egg-laying behavior.

My bird loves this !!! So much so he managed to shred through part of it within 24 hours lol so it fell down. Easy enough to hook back up though in another spot. I find him climbing all over it. Good value, hopefully he doesn't destroy it too quickly though 🤣🤣

This is one of the best toys that I've ever bough them. We both equally loved it and they were overjoyed to destroy it. Definitely buying it again.

Quality is great and my bird LOVES staying in it. Ended up buying another one...one inside cage and one outside
