Is this made of glass?

It's not glass it's plastic. It didn't hold 8 cups either. I sent mine back.

How noisy is this item? i own a similar b&d food processor (fp1600b) and it's as loud as a lawnmower!

I’ve used it to make pasta dough and pesto. I don’t find it annoyingly loud, but like any food processor, it makes noise. I don’t think it’s lawn mower loud.

Mighty Kitchen Tool!

What a great kitchen addition! Why did I wait so long?? I like to shred my own cheese and this makes it easy! It also chops well and is a nice size for many projects. It is easy to use and the parts can go in the dishwasher, so easy to clean too. It is powerful, doing it's job well in in seconds!

Cheaper than buying replacements

Why pay the same price for a replacement bowl or other accessory when you can buy a new unit for less. This one works great and is easy to set up and clean & store. It’s lightweight and a great value.

Perfect size for family food prep.

This food processor is the perfect size for family food prep. The chop quality is great, and it's a real time saver. Overall, it is very well made and a great value for the price. Definitely 5 stars and highly recommended.

No-nonsense Food Processor that Does the Job

I'd give it an honest 4.5 out of 5 stars. An excellent no-nonsense food processor. Does exactly what you would expect. The shred/slice feature is a nice bonus. I picked this up for $42ish and have found it to be an excellent value. Easy to use. Easy to clean plastic that doesn't seem to hold any flavor. Way more powerful than our last food processor. Only questionable thing that keeps this from 5 stars is the overall longevity/build quality. The first unit arrived with a big crack in the lid. Seller/Amazon were hassle-free with the return. The replacement unit arrived with a small dent in the plastic housing. It doesn't impact the performance, but I'm weary that we'll be needing to replace it in the next few years.
