The seller talks about the importance of helping kids gain confidence in the tricks and Jim has succeeded grandly. My six-year-old granddaughter received this for Christmas and was thrilled. The tricks are repeatable. Nothing is consumed in the performance of the tricks so they will function over and over. The tricks are visually appealing -- colorful scarves that change color, a die that shatters into a dozen smaller dice, a pencil that breaks into three pieces and is magically restored. Her favorite is the flower that appears by magic in its flower pot. The tricks are reasonably easy to master. We don't want them TOO easy, and they're not. But she will not get discouraged and give up. A huge plus. Now it's about stimulating her imagination so she can rattle off a story while she is performing the trick. So far it's been about understanding and mastering the manipulatives, but this is one Christmas present that will really get her imagination cooking. A HUGE recommendation from me for this toy. There is a website associated with this product. Jim I hope you're reading this. Thank you so much for not only a great product, but great descriptions and explanations online. As a retired elementary school teacher I have only the best things to say about your understanding of developmental psychology and how you applied it to the development of this magic kit. Again, my highest recommendation.

Really great tricks, just detailed enough for a 7 year old to learn. He wants to perform in public now! One of the items (magic box) came damaged which is a shame as it cant be used and I dont want to return the whole kit so I guess Ill have to find another one on ebay. But apart from that, love it.

Bought this as a Christmas gift for my 6 year old Great Nephew. He enjoys the kit and he loves the Magical Mystery Drawer Box, he was making his small car disappear and reappear most of the day He got the knack of all the tricks quickly. He enjoyed the other tricks also, like the Exploding Dice and the zig zag pencil. The components are well constructed, sturdy and work flawlessly. Who knows maybe he will be another David Copperfield some day. Definitely happy with the quality of the items and with this purchase. Now he's waving his magic wand at me trying to make me disap

I've been working with my niece (7yo) to teach her these tricks. Almost all of them are very easy for her to do. The hardest part is to get her to practice and do a 'show' and not just show everyone the tricks :). But she really is having fun. The handkerchief trick is very difficult for me, yet alone for her. The concept is easy enough, but the material starts to tear if you're too rough as a child might be. The coloring book is cute, but not well made. It's hard to do the trick without showing something you don't want (pages stick together). The other tricks seem to be well made but still have to teach younger children to be careful. I've already had to mend the magic wand and the disappearing drawer from 'rough' treatment. My main complaint is the number of tricks for the price. It seems like there are quite a few until you look at them. If you watch the video and imagine a child doing this show, you'll see that all of the tricks can be done in about 5 minutes.

Well My first review was way over by 950 characters. It was that long because I was commending the seller who is also the Magician Mr. Stott. I could not have been happier with his personal attention I was shown. I work for the Court System as a Bailiff. Recently I overheard one of the judges talking to a clerk that he was going to be Santa Claus for seven-year-old child. Apparently the child has had a rough go at it and recently was taken away from his parents and placed into foster care. I told the Judge if he needs anything let me know I would like to help as Christmas should be the time for Joy for a child. A child should not be punished for the actions of a parent such as illegal substances. I did not want to wait to hear from the judge so I just went under Amazon gifts for children and saw Mr. Stott's Magic Kit. He had tremendous reviews and people said they have personal contact with him. So I decided to get the magic kit for him, plus one I was a young child I remember having a magic kit and I was so excited having a magic wand that I could just pretend all day that I was a magician going “Poof”. In looking at the advertisement for the kit I was one particular magicians costume that I was interested in as it was like a warlock/wizard with the cap shaped differently. Mr. Stott it’s a stock photo taken by him and he gave me a recommendation on the magicians costumes that I had hundreds of five stars. This particular costume also had a trick where one could pull a stuffed rabbit out of the hat, perfect for the child. Mr. Stott and I texted back-and-forth regarding the child and I ended up also getting a magic wand and Mr. Stott’s Magic Book he sells through Amazon. I did ask Mr. Stott For one thing if he could send me a picture of himself working as a magician and signed to the child and I provided him so I would be more personable that way I could put it in the front of the book when I received it. Mr. Stott did better, he sent a signed poster for the child that he uses to advertise his shows. Just a few days ago the child had to be in court just to see if everything is going OK as a quartz get the attorneys, schools, foster care, etc. all together to hold your discussion to see if anything could be improved as it’s all about the child. I was told the court recessed and the judge left bench. The Judge just missed seeing Santa Claus as maybe five minutes later the same door that leads to Chambers, Santa Claus came through and the child was still there in the courtroom as his guardians were talking with others. Santa Claus, met with the child and he was given his gifts. I was told when he was opening all the magic stuff he kept saying Santa did good. I thoroughly enjoyed talking to Mr. Stott as my late father had worked behind the scenes magician assistant (setting up stage/show) when he was in his late teens early 20s. Mr. Stott even direct me to another seller of my things for the child such as the magicians costume, he did not need to do that. He actually looked online for one that he thought was appropriate. It actually makes me think of the beginning of the Christmas Movie “Miracle on 34th St.” where Santa Claus while working for Macy’s sent a woman to Gimbles as they carried something that Macy’s did not, call to make a child happy, And isn’t that what is important? To make a child happy. If all sellers showed the professionalism and compassion as Mr. Stott showed, customers would never complain.
