This is my second pregnancy and I'm due somewhere in march. I ordered this item in order to avoind buying jackets for this time of pregnancy.Well...This product is just a plain piece of fabric with 2 zippers on each side.Really?????For this money?????It's ugly/ bad designed/ with odd cuts and cheap material quality. Even zippers are bad quality and got stuck each time I tried using this product. At neck line it literally just stops without. If i want to waer this I have to wear a scarf because the wntire neck are is bot covered.And once again at this money I was expecting a bit more atention to detailsThe concept/ideea is brilliant but the product itself is rubbish.

I am expecting in June but we are going away in April so needed to get a coat to fit over Bump.I have a longer body and arms so finding coats is always tricky to make sure they actually do their job. After looking around, it was clear I wouldn't be able to get a decent waterproof for a reasonable price for only a year of wear. Cue looking for extension panels so I can wear my own coat.This arrived super quick and was very easy to attach to my existing waterproof coat. The zip is a little stiff at first, but after a few uses it got a lot easier to use. The panel is high quality and reversible so will go on mens and womens coats with ease - make sure you measure your zip and check the teeth size first though.The finish is very similar on both sides, with the drawstring toggle only on one side. The drawstring means you can tighten it to fit over your own bump. It was comfortable and gives loads of room for bump and a carrier in future.Being able to move this between mine and my partners coat later on is absolutely brilliant, and will mean we can take baby walking without the hassle of getting a pram over uneven ground!

I had to return the first one I ordered as it didn’t quite fit the coat lengthways and the return could not have been easier - I had a refund within a couple of days.I ordered another one (different coat with a different zip) and it works perfectly. The zips were quite stiff to start with (hence only four stars) so I struggled to check that it was suitable, but once it had been done a few times the panel was really easy to get on or off. It folds up very small, which is very useful if I’m not sure if I’ll need it - I baby wear most of the time but sometimes will just have the sling in the bottom of the pushchair just in case.The only real downside is that the universal zip doesn’t seem to be available on Amazon although I’ve read that there is one - the panel will only work on one of my coats. It also won’t work on a metal zip. Overall however I wish I’d found this months ago! I’ve been wearing my husbands coat to fit baby inside when we go out for a while now and now I don’t need to!

So, the first coat I tried this on it fit well enough on both zips, bit of wrangling to get one side sorted but just left that as the permanently attached one and carried on using it fine.That side though, I can't get on my other coat at all, same brand of coat, same style of zip. The other side is fine, but the zipper pull of the extender simply won't take the insert part of the original coat zip. So I can either be cold and zipped in (original coat is a rain mac) or not fully zipped but have a warmer back (second coat which won't fasten is my padded winter coat). Hardly ideal at 8 months pregnant and having planned to use this coat with the extender for the colder months for the initial baby carrying phase, before we move onto a HugMe from a bespoke seller.Definitely not worth what I paid for it with this issue in compatibility.

I emailed Kate before I purchased with photos of my zip and she came back instantly to tell me what she thinks will work as my zip doesn't fall into the categories given. She also said I can exchange for universal or refund after if it doesn't work. I purchased her suggestion, it arrived in two days and it fits!! I did have to yank it closed on the one side a bit the first time and was a bit scared but tired out fine and second time it was easier. This is the side I'll leave it on so I don't have to keep yanking it, the other side is smooth.It is fully reversible so it doesn't really matter which side your zip is on, I like that. I am going to use it on mu really long coat which it still doesn't quite fit on, it's a shame you don't do even longer ones, it doesn't come up to where it should and it looks a little silly at first but I'm not going to care, I'll cover it up with scarf and it will still save me a lot of money buying a new maternity coat which is what matters to me. See photos of the grey coat.Turns out this also fits my other coat, what a bonus! See black coat. It's too big for this one but it's easy to just tuck in the excess on top and no one knows. I'm quite tall so it doesn't reach my belly perfectly but again, I get to keep two coats to wear during being pregnant!Thank you, great product, wonderful service! Only suggestion is to make even a longer one, 100cm or so, for even the longer coats. The one I purchased is 80cm.
