Q: Will this help me tie off thread strands when i am beading a braclet with firewire. I need to get really close to the project.

ToolsGS stocks two knotting tools, the BeadSmith "HTH-EZKNOT" and the Tri-Cord Professional Knotting Tool (Item G38.01910). The Tri-Cord tool is made with heavier-duty materials. We have only heard good things about this Tri-Cord tool. A youtube tutorial about how to use it is available online.

Q: Will this work for knotting strands of hair?

The tool is for creating secure knots for pearl and bead stringing only!

Q: does this work with wire also?

Nancy, to be honest, I have not tried it with wire.I use supper fine sterling silver wire size 30 gauge, or size 20 gauge for making clasps and other findings that I would rather try to make myself. I wish I could be more help but for myself, I don't have the guts to knot wire yet. Lol. Please , if you do let me know! Have fun
