High-Quality, Durable, and Perfect for Even Cooling in our Boat Fridge
We use six of these Noctua NF-A6x25 FLX fans in our fridge on our Leopard 40 catamaran, and they work perfectly. They circulate the air to keep both sides at a more even temperature since the cooling plates are on the back. These fans are high quality, extremely durable, and the only brand we trust. They look as pictured for color accuracy, easy to install, fit well, and it is quiet that we don’t notice any vibration. They last a long time and are absolutely worth the money. Highly recommended!

Quieter than the stock fan on my disk enclosure
I have an old Thunderbolt SSD enclosure that has a one-speed fan (always on) the noise from which has annoyed me for years. When I heard about this fan, which happened to be exactly the right size, I was excited with the idea that I could lower the noise level. Now that the new fan was installed, the noise level is significantly lower in volume and frequency vs the original fan, which was an old Sunon MagLev model. It's not utterly silent but much less annoying, so I'm happy with the purchase. I agree with other reviewers that the quality of the materials is quite high, especially for the modest price. If you have a PC motherboard then I'm sure the installation is turnkey. However the connector in my enclosures (I checked a second one also) are not the same as the Intel/AMD standard connector so the install required some soldering. Since the fan in my enclosure is always on and one speed, there are only two wires on the fan connector, so some internet research was needed. I removed the existing fan and clipped the wires going its the proprietary connector. Then I soldered the wires from the Noctua cable to those wires, insulated the joints with heat shrink tubing and re-installed the fan. In my case the original wires and the Noctua wires were black and red, so no polarity check was necessary, but YMMV. There are 4 extension/adapter cables that come with the Noctual box, so I didn't actually have to modify the wire/connector permanently wired to the fan. Instead, I just modified the appropriate adapter cable. I wanted to run it in LNA (low noise) mode, using the designated cable in the Noctua box. Online chatter suggested to ignore the third (yellow, tach) wire and just connect up the red and black on the LNA cable, which I did. It works but the reduced airflow method seems to be to turn the fan on and off. This made a slight clicking noise at the beginning and/or end of the on-cycle. That was annoying - in part because no fan is truly silent. So I then clipped the big 4 pin connector (from PCs of old, maybe 3/4" across) off the 3:4 adapter cable - it just has red and black wires - and soldered them on the wires coming off of the proprietary connector from the enclosure. The fan runs at full speed now but the noise is consistent. If you aren't comfortable soldering small wires and insulating the connections - and your application is something other than a PC motherboard - then a replacement fan might not be the best bet for you.

The best computer fans on the market
I have been using Noctua fans for years. They are fantastic. They are quiet but yet still produce a good amount of air flow to keep things cool. I just replaced a 60mm fan in my Apple SC 40 Tape drive with then. All I need to hook it up was a set of long pin connectors. On end in the Power Supply and the other in the fan connector. I used the ultra low noise adapter and when the case is on I can't hear it over ambient noise. Works great. I bought 2 as I will be doing this to my Apple 80SC drive as well.

Ugly but excellent fans, as always from Noctua
Noctua's ugly fans always are quiet and work well, very high quality...just the ugliest fans on the market but it is what it is

Stop buying the cheap fans - go with a quality brand
What can I say, it's a Noctua. These are pretty quiet, much quieter than other brands, and move as much if not more air. I use these for main board cooling on a couple of 3D printers. I have had other cheaper fans fail after about a year of use, but these are going strong after a year of constant use. Like the old saying: "you get what you pay for", this brand will be the only one I buy for projects. A bonus is the extra connectors and rubber mounting "connectors" that are included. They are also packaged very well.

It works and is very quiet. Wish it moved more air at this size.
It is very quiet. I think it is rated for 1500 rpms. I would like it to move more air for the purpose I wanted it for. I used this to replace a fan in a small portable power station that this is the perfect size for. It is much quieter than the original fan was, this one I cannot hear at all. The original fan made lots of noise all the time when charging and was something a lot of people complained about on the reviews. I did have to figure out how to properly wire it since the wire colors did not match. But I did find a video online for it. Which is why I bought this fan. The power station does get hotter when charging form AC power because of the lower air speed. But if I charge it off of dc only it has no issues and does not get hot at all.

They work great
Very functional, quiet and moves air very well. I've been using two to cool a hard drive in a confined space it they do very good with keeping it cold. I wish it came in different colors other than brown but over all they are a great price for what you get.

SSO2 Bearning is quite impressive
very impressive, i hardly notice the fan at all unless i am near by my NAS enclosure. Previously i had upgrade & installed a HYDRAULIC BEARING type fan, the old Hydraulic Bearing fan is annoyingly loud 12ft away, this is a game changer! Features: Smaller fan hub, which translate to bigger fan blade Very low noise bearing SSO2 technology Extra cables & extensions Summary: This is my first Noctua fan, i don't know why it took me this long to get it installed The Fan engineering & built quality is above & beyond, I believe there is no need for additional synthetic lube drops to top it off for longer life span. Fan noise is extremely silent, barely can hear it in a enclosed NAS enclosure.
