Book is split into 2 sections The first section of the book was quite heavy going but its an absolute must as this covers a large part of the SRE theory . 2nd section was much more fun to read and try out the exercises I would like to have seen a bit more on Spinnacker in the main body of the book as I had to go and look this up

I've used this book as a guide to passing the DevOps cert, and it helped me pass the Developer cert too! It's undoubtedly one of the best guides I've read and can be used as a reference guide on the job. Some of the sections are comprehensive, for instance, the GKE and K8's sections. Keep in mind guides are tools to help you in your journey. It's not a substitute for experience, and you will need to expand your learning if you don't have it.

Written like there was some word count criteria to meet for the book. No explanations for mock test answers, just the answer is repeated in some cases. Mock test questions straight lifted from text of book. Some answers also seem questionable.

The book contains repetitive content and useless transition paragraph to introduce minor subjects. The quality of the content varies. Some chapters are rich and others seem like nothing more than rewritten Google documentation. The test questions are much too simple. Not worth the money or your time.
