Is the #1 combo bit the same as an ECX bit?

Yes. It has the Robertson square-drive middle and a "flat head" blade that projects out from two opposing corners. I'm a DYI'er, but I did all the electrical work on my daughter's new stable and this was my go-to tool because of the Combo bit. The only thing I found sub-par was the ratchet knob which I still can't set one-handed due to it's smoothness. I've just gotten used to using my left hand to change the ratchet direction.

The handle was separated from the rachet. I changed it for a new one and now have the same issue,is that normal?

No this is not normal. My screwdriver handle did not separate from the ratchet.

Can you use this as a normal screwdriver (without using the ratcheting function)? Im hoping to lock it into place and only use as a 15 in 1. Thanks

Yes, there is a middle position which locks so it will operate as a regular screwdriver. Very pleased with. .

Is the bits magnetic?
