I have a cat that gobbles all the food straight away whenever I have to leave for a day. This automatic feeder prevents her from doing that and means I don’t walk back through the front door amidst deafening cat screams of hunger or face a house trashed because the cat has plundered it looking for food. I refused to pay for an expensive one because I don’t use it everyday and if I stop manually feeding my cat, it will have no further use for me as it’s bald monkey slave. This feeder is great, I can keep wet food fresh with the ice block and set the timers to release the goodies at intervals during the day. It is tried and tested and works reliably well, great value for money and even I can programme it easily. The only criticism I will make is that it seems you have to set the timer for over an hour in order for it to register.

I use this for wet food for my cat and it works really well as she likes to graze on her food as opposed to eat at set meal times. The ice pack keeps the food cold (which she prefers) and stops it from spoiling. Its easy enough to take apart and clean too.

Opens when it says it will. Would be ideal for most cats, but I have a Persian with a flat face and large head, so he has a bit of difficulty getting all his food out. In his efforts, he pushes it around the floor, so a rubber mat is ideal

So far so good - works as expected and useful to have if we need to be out for a little longer during the day. We haven’t used the ice block yet (as just using with dry biscuits for now) but the timer works as expected and it’s good that you can have them set to open at different times. The metal trays make it feel a little less plasticky and are really easy to clean.

Brought a second one as the first has been so good at freeing up our lives a little. Our old rescue cat needs feeding every 3 hours or he is very sick. This has helped us get some sleep or allow for a longer time out away from home. Currently using 10 year old rechargeable battery and it runs perfectly for weeks. Not ran out yet but I recharged anyway just incase. Probably cost £10 to make but it works great and the quality is good enough, especially the metal food trays.

Very easy to use, made quite strong and compact, very easy cleaning, not noisy and value for money.

Does work.. The clock time has 24hrs split into 30 mins around the clock so you turn the dial to how many minutes or hours you want the flap to open . As it’s not digital you can be 100% accurate or know what time is left so will open around the time you wish give or take a few minutes. I guess my only concern will be when the dog knows this has food in it could it kick the unit around ending up upside down and not open. All good so far..

Easy to set timer. Dish holds the write amount of food for a medium size dog. Easy to clean. I remove battery after use as timer seems to still count down again once opened.
