Our cat would eat only about half the bag of other brands of freeze dried minnows because she is very picky and if they were slightly off in texture (too hard or chewy etc), she would just leave it. She cannot get enough of this bag! The minnows are bigger than ones we’ve gotten previously, these look so plump and fresh. Our cat LOVES these & its a bit more money than popular brands on the market but if you have a picky cat I highly recommend.

I purchased the shrimp thinking my cats would surely go nuts over them. Nope. Can't get them to touch them, even rehydrated with water. I reached out to Fresh is Best to let them know the unfortunate news, not that it is any of their fault. They sent me TWO other bags of fish (salmon and whiting) to try! What excellent customer service! Of course my cats wouldn't eat them either, but that's besides the point. I guess my cats are pickier than I thought. These are definitely high-quality products though. I will give them to some of my friends' pets instead. Hats off to the seller though!

After my old brand of minnows changed their formula / sourcing and packaging, my cat didn't like that anymore. So began the hunt for a new brand. Tried a couple others at the local pet store, but no-go, cat didn't like it. Tried this one, and cat loves it! The search is over. The fishes are fresh and consistently semi-crunchy. Critical because I break each fish into smaller pieces so my cat doesn't struggle so much. No oily-ness like some other brands. Fishes are a good size and consistent. Now this is on my subscribe & save. Recommend you give it a try, if you're looking for minnow treats.

This product (shrimp) is only shelf stable for TWO WEEKS. After that it must be discarded, and they warn it cannot be refrigerated due to potential mold and moisture build up. So honestly, if you only have one or two cats, and want to use this as a treat or topper, the bag contains way too much product to be able to finish it off in two weeks. So, a complete waste as I will be throwing a lot of it out. Additionally, there is ZERO handling information on the package or in the photos here. I wouldn’t have know it was only good for two weeks unless I diligently searched for that specific info. And many people wouldn’t even know to ask the question about safe handling and storage. So, they absolutely need to make this clear on their packaging and info/advertising here because it is likely that many cat owners could feed their pets spoiled food.

Our male cat is the only one that likes any freeze-dried treats. I had been buying them at Petsmart and found them on Amazon for a better price. Now the little monster is sick of them! Guess I gave him too many so will be doling them out slower so they're gone before the next autoship! ;)
