The best decision a rustic baker will ever make!
Iv never wanted to rate something so much in my life. I have many many many many many pie pans. Every type of material every size from little 5inch pies to giant 12inch pies. I have budget pie pans that are work horses and I have beautiful expensive pien pans for show and presentation. This is my ALL TIME FAVORITE PIE PAN. First the brand is my favorite, Lodge means quality and affordability. The pan itself gives Rustic charm perfect for your cottagecore kitchen witch and your homesteading cowboy! Cast iron, lodge in particular Last a lifetime ...literally a lifetime. Functionality cast iron makes the best crusts. Crispy every time. I cook pot pies and fruit pies in this one all the time. Even delicate custards, just gotta know to use her (I call mine Dolly). The size. Perfect 9 inch deep dish about 1.7 inches deep so it's got alitte extra depth but standard enough of a size that all modern recipes will work for it ...just up your pie dough by about 1/4 cup of flour. I have several cast iron pie pans for various looks and reasons. Every pie pan I have, I have for a reason or several reasons. This particular pie pan I have the best reason. I fricken love it and it just works every time. One thing to note when cooking in a cast iron pie pans (which I learned the hard way and wish I knew before hand). If you chill your pie in the fridge and then put it into the hot oven you need to up your heat (maybe add a baking steel) and be prepared to cover the top with foil.. just as cast iron holds heat well it also hold cold just as well (which is great for cold set pies). You will find your pie will need longer to get up to temp and cook (particularly the base because the metal itself will take awhile to heat up this can cause a risk for undercooked pie crust...this is the one area where cast iron doesn't excel but you work around it. Add heat or don't chill your pie for a long time /work fast with your dough and throw her that oven without chilling. Anyway buy this pie pan ... you'll fricken love it!

Sturdy, nonstIck, no scratch, even cook, easy clean
I've had these for 2 years now. These pie pans are fabulous. My pies come out evenly cooked, no burn spots and the slices slide right out with no sticking and no scratching of the pan. Clean up is a breeze. I may have to buy a few more.

Heavenly -- iron beats glass
Amazing, simply amazing. I've been a staunch proponent of old Pyrex glass bake pans. It's always served me right. But after watching a YT comparison between Pyrex vs metal bake pans, I thought I'd give cast iron a try. OH MY GOODNESS. Compared to glass pans, the cast iron pan heats up faster; pie crust is crispier; and everything bakes faster. How I have to revise cooking times of my recipes .. and my expectations.

Does a great pie crust
Beautiful Lodge pie pan. Well seasoned. Easy to clean if you don't leave it in the sink overnight! Heats really well. It's a Lodge--it's made in the USA, looks great, works great and is going to last for generations.

Quality since 1896!
I love Lodge products. Made right here in the good 'ol USA since 1896. The Lodge pie pan didn't disappoint. The end result was a delicious, well cooked, pie. Exactly what I expected from Lodge! The price is better than the "Made in China" competition at nearly half the price. Although the pan is a smaller 9" compared to the competition's 10", the size is perfect for our needs. After a quick wash, I was able use the pre-seasoned pan on the day of delivery!

Great Pie Pan
This will last for generations. I don't have to worry about it shattering as some customers reported with glass pie pans. It is heavier than other pans but that is to be expected with cast iron.

Exactly as expected. Usual Lodge quality. Good factory seasoning. Also works as a ‘press’, like for panini or other sandwiches, etc.

Really love this pie pan, just as in picture, can’t fault it, worth every penny, will try to look out for lodge products more if quality is like this pie dish. People grab yourself some and thank me later.🤟🏾

Very pleased with my Lodge pie pan, it’s excellent quality and very well made. The pies I have baked in it, have all turned out really well (no more soggy bottom pies). Best thing I have ever baked a pie in.
