I have bought this brand of half-case for a few of my cameras over the years - a Nikomat FTn, Canonet, and a couple of Voigtländers. Not surprisingly, when I needed one for my Nikon FE, this is the brand that I went with! They are well-made, fit snugly (sometimes TOO snugly, at first), and provide good protection against the errant bumps and scrapes. The leather (REAL leather) is satisfyingly durable. The one minor complaint that I have is with the screw at the bottom that secures the case to the camera body. When needing to remove the case to change film, it is far to easy to drop the screw and lose it. I have managed a workaround using a thin internally-toothed spring washer that secures the screw to the case, but allows the separation of the case from the camera. It's not ideal, but it works! Other than that small gripe, I can easily recommend it!

Top notch quality and service.

This is a well made case. Be aware it's a snug fit for the FM-2 series cameras. You will have to push it into the case with a bit of force. However after a few days the case loosens and the fit is perfect. I bought this half case not for the looks or protection; bought it to give a better hand grip on the FM-2. These are rather small cameras for 35mm Nikons. The texture of the leather and added padding do that very well. My hands fit comfortable and securely around my FM-2 now. And it does add protection for the front, back & bottom. When the case arrived (and it DOES take a while to arrive from Hong Kong-maybe two weeks or more) the color was a bit lackluster and the leather dusky looking. I think it was simply very new leather & dye had not yet soaked in. Just get some LEXOL leather conditioner. Rub on liberally with a cloth or paper towel. It will be slippery at first but let the Lexol soak in and the case will look great with its full patina. I chose the "chocolate" brown color, but it looks more like tobacco or coffee to me. You can decide if you like it from my photos. The stitches are beautifully done & tight. A gorgeous half case!

I just bought a like new FM from Japan and was seriously worried every time I set it down. Fortunately, I found this beautiful half case which works perfectly to protect my purchase. I was also pleasantly surprised to find it includes a nice hand strap. This is definitely a quality case and, if you’re considering it, go for it! Unless you’re shooting tons (changing film is a pain), you won’t regret having it.

Excellent leather case quality, clean, neat stitching, the camera fits appropriately and adequately protects the FE camera body. It comes in excellent packaging with a product pouch and a bottom attachment well-designed screw to hold the camera case in place. Fast delivery. At this price point, it is Highly Recommended.

I really wanted a half case for that 1970s feel and this one delivered. You can still use a tripod or mounting plate with the cover installed thanks to the fastener on the bottom being threaded 1/4x20. Little fingernail notch in the screw itself to make taking it off by hand pretty easily, which is good as it has to come off in order to load film.

I ordered this case and was disappointed to see this huge crease. I got it replaced and they just sent me what looked like a return. The packaging was ripped open and the case still had that crease. It might just be a problem with the green cases, though. Honestly disappointing.
