Does this kill germs like a normal dish soap or hand soap does?

Put it this way. I work on an ambulance. You will never see an ambulance company or hospital using any cleaner like this. Because it doesn't kill germs. What we use is a 10:1 bleach solution coupled with those hardcore sani wipes. I'm all for beinf as green as possible and even as non toxic as possible and i use homemade cleaners and non toxic cleaners all the time but will still bleach clean my home every 30 to 60 days and always bleach clean my bathrooms.

Question 2

If you're using this as laundry soap, do you just throw some liquid in as is, or do you mix it with something else? How much do you use per load? Do your clothes smelly "pine-y" after?

I have a HE washer so here's my recipe.  I combine in an old 64 oz jug from juice etc. 1 1/4 c Sal Suds, 1 c baking soda, and the rest water. Add the water and baking soda first leaving room for the Sal Suds otherwise it will foam up when attempting to fill it up with water. Then just turn it upside down a few times throughout the day and you'll notice the baking soda disappears. it seems to all congeal somewhat. I then pour in enough to fill up the soap dispenser and add vinegar to the rinse cup. Been washing clothes like this for years. Doesn't fade colors and has been safe for all types of fabrics. Clothes do not have a strong fragrance after drying; they are just clean.

What is different than this and the original Dr. Bronner's? Which is better to clean the floors with and how much should you use? Thanks.

I looked it up recently bc I had never heard of this stuff & the website says this is a cleaning agent not a soap. Whereas the original castile version is a soap :) look up "Lisa Bronner" and she is a relative of the original Dr. Bronner or whoever & has a whole blog as well as a dilution cheat sheet for different cleaning products. Or just Pinterest "Dr. Bronners Sal suds dilution cheat sheet" & the same but for the castile soap. It's handy since I am BRAND new to all this stuff. :)

Its awesome for cleaning carpet. I always keep the gallon of water and 1 tbsp sal suds on hand. When I add it to the spray bottle I also add a quarter hydrogen peroxide as a disinfectant. This is the combination I used when my sister dropped a very saucy homemade slice of pizza, sauce side down, onto the cream carpet. I didn't really think the splatter of sauce would come out, but sure enough its totally clean.
