The chameleon purple blue shell was just the RIGHT color pick for my eyes along with the chrome silver and red and the chameleon purple blue rise4 remap kit for my Infinite controller. The color shift was the effect I needed and eXtremerate didn’t disappoint once again. My controller now has a nice and smooth texture and I have some experience disassembling and reassembling my controllers so the process was very simple. The colors and design makes it stand out better than my Black Hole and Metallic Sun controllers. Unfortunately for me, I’ll have to wait for my metallic red buttons, scarlet red accent rings and tactile clicky kit to finish customization but so far looking good. Worth the money and will be continuing to support and buy eXtremerate’s legit products.

I had upgraded the joycons and Switch housing on my Nintendo Switch, but didn't write a review. Why? Installation was tedious and I ran out of patience after completion. I pulled a youtube video up and walked along with it to deconstruct, and swap out the parts. I have the tools and the dexterity but you are working with small parts. OF NOTE: Depending on the model of controller (There are 3 variations in the PS5 controller) Your touchpad bracket may or may not have two screws anchoring it. Mine had one screw only and I didn't need to worry about the controller speaker. That being said, I am SO happy with the Shell, I may replace the buttons at some point. ALSO NOTE: when I did put the shell on and secured everything, my buttons felt "Dry" or "Gritty" and would squeak (D-Pad mostly) The solution is a little bit of mechanical keyboard switch lube on a small paintbrush, between the housing and actual buttons. Nothing the manufacturer could have done, but this was my experience. I gave it a three star for ease of installation because there were no instructions, and it takes time and patience, but again, it looks phenominal.

Choosing the eXtremeRate New Hope Gray Touchpad and Front Shell was a great decision and a perfect alternative for anyone having a hard time finding a specific, high-end look for their setup. My son really wanted a 30th Anniversary Edition controller, which is nearly impossible to find at a reasonable price, so I had to hunt down specific custom parts to build him one myself. This "New Hope Gray" color is the perfect shade to mimic that classic PlayStation retro aesthetic. While it is not an official 30th Anniversary gamepad, he is really happy with the look, and it has essentially become a prized possession to him. The build quality is excellent, as the shell is made of a durable, non-toxic ABS plastic that fits completely flush on all sides. It sits properly on all the internal clips, so there’s no creaking or loose seams once it's fully assembled. The installation does require you to take the controller apart, which can be a bit intimidating, but the kit includes the necessary cross screwdriver and prying tool to help with the process. One of the best parts about this specific model is its wide compatibility, as it works with the BDM-010 through BDM-050 versions of the PS5 controller, ensuring it fits regardless of which internal hardware version you have. It is a beautiful, cost-effective way to refresh a standard white controller into something truly unique and sentimental.

Great quality shell. Smooth, feels comfortable in your hands, and looks great. Assembly is far more involved then you may think due to its simplicity, but their youtube channel has extensive step-by-step tutorials on how to swap it out. I am hopeless when it comes to things like this and would never be able to figure it out on my own, but I was easily able to do it with the help of the video and felt quite accomplished afterwards. Don't be scared, its worth it!

This company never fails to make great looking high quality gaming parts. Fit amazingly, very easy to install and the durability is almost exactly like the on brand. Great value for my money

Nothing bad to say about this shell. It was my first time taking apart a controller. I followed the direction video made by the company step by step and had no issues whatsoever. The only thing that needs mentioning is there are several connectors that need to be removed very carefully, which the company’s video demonstrates. I will definitely be purchasing more of their shells in the future.
