Review: A1 - Great Review: Just as good as any badger - Having realised how badger hair is harvested I wanted to try a synthetic brush. I chose Yaqi after reading up and interrogating YouTube etc. Very soft synthetic bristles but surprisingly good backbone. There is no need to soak the brush prior to shaving as it holds a surprising amount of water after a few seconds of soaking. In my opinion this brush performs much better when ‘painting’ the lather rather than swirling. I have decided never to buy a badger brush again. This brush performs just as well and benefits from good looks etc. It will probably last just as long as a badger with the very minimum of maintenance. Try a decent well made synthetic like this, you will probably like it.
