Good Keyboard For The Office
This keyboard has held up for a month and the keys still feel new. I use it 20 hrs a week and it has not let me down. The keyboard is comfortable for a non-wrist rest set up and I can type freely without fatigue. The keys. The scissor switches in this keyboard feel great and are a bit softer than your usual dell/hp office keyboard. They also are noticeably larger than your run of the mill keyboard which for me prevents me from fat fingering keys. The material honestly looks cheap, BUT I actually love the way it feels and the texture prevents my fingers from slipping. The sound and feel. The sound is quiet but not silent. Depending on how hard you type you can definitely ghost write a message to your friend about how bad the lady’s perfume smells in the adjacent cubicle or you can clack away to show your boss how hard of a worker you really are. The keys feel mushy but have a slight snap to them. It kind of reminds me of an almond joy, mushy until you feel the crunch of the almond in the center. Dang I wish I had one… ***If you decide to buy this keyboard and do not have a felt desk/key mat I highly suggest buying one. The keyboard sounds tinny and rattles with out it. Especially with the stands up. A soft mat will cure this horrific curse.** Overall. If you don’t want to piss off your coworkers with your RGB, tactile, thocky, keyboard masterpiece (LETS GO KEYCHRON) definitely get this keyboard. If you don’t really care about keyboards in general just get a $35 dell or hp and call it a day. This isn’t the best office keyboard nor is it probably the best in its class. However it is good, and I do enjoy using it while I work in the office. Did I pay an extra $10 because it says cherry? Yes. Did it also come with a really cool calculator button that saves me 10 seconds of time? Also yes. If you get it you won’t regret it! Well maybe..honestly I don’t but idk you do you.

seems well built, works well, good deal
keyboard nice n hefty so stays put during use. mouse not ambidextrous with keys on left side and takes time to learn how to hit them with fore or middle finger for lefty use. on/off switches are nice. works with win11 but had to find an app or whatever to reprogram side keys, otherwise plug n play. overall, a good price for what seems a good product.

almost great, but not quite perfect, I changed my mind about bringing it back!
lets start with the positives, then ill get to the negatives and why I'll be returning it: For the price or even more, the build quality is truly exceptional. The weight of the keyboard is fairly substantial and doesn't bend easily or at all, absolutely no give, it feels stable & planted, will never slide around, the mouse has a bit of weight as well and the plastic on both doesn't feel cheap at all, not a single part. The finish of the paint and texture on the keyboard is fantastic as well as the type feel. They keys have a great tactile feel and are very quiet, but still have a satisfying sound, the action of the keys are just perfect in every way, the key travel isnt excessive either. The mouse buttons are quiet and are easy to press, both have very good range and are very precise, especially the mouse. What's really convenient is the dpi sensitivity settings on the mouse too. Scroll wheel doesn't feel cheap either. The 128 bit encryption for the wireless dongle is a plus too. There is also no perceptible latency for either the mouse or keyboard. Now for the cons: The thumb mouse buttons on the side are completely useless and I find to be a hindrance more than anything. Even without the software installed, they are still functional and can be unintentionally pressed, weather from thumb position or just simply grabbing the mouse, for example with Foobar "a music player" it can pause or skip music tracks from accidental pressings" it can also select various things and its application depending on what program you are using could be different. Especially without software configuration "which ill get to their utility" The lip on the side of the mouse, while very minimal with nice smoothed edges is also sorta irritating to me which the buttons rest above. All in all extra buttons on a mouse to me is useless, literally nobody I know uses them either. The other thing I'm not too big on is how long the mouse feels in terms of button placement. I feel like I have to fully place my entire hand flat on the mouse which feels slightly uncomfortable. I would've preferred a smaller, slightly slimmer design, without the extra thumb buttons. The only thing stock dell mouses have over this one, to me their mouses while they are cheap junk and certainly will not last as long as this one will, just feel far more comfortable to me. Now for the keyboard, It's pretty much flawless, other than the extra buttons literally nobody cares about, the volume keys are nice as well as the mute key, the calculator key is great, the webrowser key is kinda "cool" but only for initially starting your browser of choice, every press after that launches a new instance of your browser instead of putting your already open browser into focus or to place it on top of other programs you may have running, that would've been useful so I wouldn't have to use my mouse to go to the bottom of the Taskbar to manually click on it, even if it would launch a new tab in the instance of your browser you'd already have running that would be great too. But as I said, it doesn't do that & instead just launches a new instant every time it is pressed. Next button I don't care for is the email button, pretty much nobody uses it, everyone pretty much uses a third party email provider that they visit in a browser and not an email client baked into their computer, so in my opinion, that is useless. 3rd complaint is their software, its called CHERRY KEYS which you can grab from their website https://www.cherry.de/en-gb/products/software-services/cherry-keys the design of the program is sleek and intuitive, but what I dont like is in order for example to turn off those useless mouse side buttons, or disable or remap certain buttons on the mouse or keyboard, you need to keep that software always running in the background in order for your custom settings to be enforced. It consumes slightly more than 100mb of ram and only a few cpu cycles. Now these days 100mb is nothing, but its the idea that you even have to use a piece of software at all times to save and enforce custom settings that does eat a bit of system resources and eventually may cease to get security and compatibility patches down the line one day. Since these products are designed well, I'm willing to bet they will outlast cherries software support. It's 2024, why doesn't the keyboard and mouse have 512kb to 1mb of cheap non volatile flash memory onboard to remember settings even when power is cut from the mouse or keyboard. Or even on the dongle that plugs into the computer? You charge 50 bucks which yes is a great price for the set, but it wouldn't hurt to throw that in there, so I don't always have to depend on software all the time that may or may not break from updates or eventually be vulnerable in someway once support gets cut. Lastly, I will be returning both the keyboard & mouse, I ordered two sets. I would even consider buying just the keyboard, butva different mouse, but then, I'll literally need 2 USB ports for two seprate wireless receivers. In my opinion this setup seems to be the sleekest thing cherry makes, no flashy rgb crap, it just looks well made and would be perfect if it wasn't for its short commings. Its a shame because most wireless keyboards and mice out there are cheap junk that break after several months even when careful with them. They are all made in the same Chinese buildhouse... Not this one.... A shame really. --- update While I mostly feel the same way with my critiques, There are just too many nice things about this keyboard, wireless receiver & mouses overall build quality, price, performance, that just make it too good to send back, it's worth getting used to, the short comings while still "annoying to a degree" are still not enough to make me say its terrible and done. What they have accomplished here, especially for the price of this kit, even if the price would increase to keep pace with inflation, would still make this setup destroy many things twice the price and especially less. It's also nice that out of the box they don't give you generic Chinese heavy-duty zinc air batteries or cheap no name alkaline batteries, but instead, real, legitimate Energizer MAX batteries which are fresh and new, that all tested very strongly out of the box. Neatly packaged too. The mouse will take a bit getting used too, but considering the overall value, I think ill still give it a pass and definitely say it is worth every bit if its asking price. Even the mechanical version of the keyboard would be wonderful I'd imagine. Very sleek & reserved design, no weirdness with the space bar or return keys, & more importantly, no terrible useless copilot ai key, a normal ctrl key instead! Buy with confidence, I also recommend grabbing the Cherry MP 2000 Premium Mousepad XXL for 25 bucks which is a nice mat for the mouse & keyboard or just the Cherry Mouse Pad MP 1000 Premium Large - Spill Resistant - Easy Glide pad which is a fantastic mouse pad. All and all, buy with confidence.

Great Keyboard and Mouse
I have gone through 4 "L Tech" brand keywords in the past year. I recently purchased a "L Tech " wireless mechanical keyboard from a large retail store for 99.00. The keys would consistently skip letters and numbers mid paragraph and the mouse was just as bad. I returned both after using for a week. I purchased the Cherry keyboard and mouse for half the cost. A great purchase. The keys are smooth and the mouse is very responsive and smooth as well. easy setup, high quality and functionality. No skipping letters, numbers, etc. Impressive performance so far. This particular model does not have an illuminated keyboard which is available on other Cherry models. Check out the Cherry website on Amazon. Very interesting. This is a definite keeper.

The BEST keyboard/mouse, period.
Seriously, I cant stress how seriously amazing these products are. I used the Cherry Stream wired keyboard for 4 years working remotely, and it NEVER had an issue. The keyboard had some weight to it and had a very premium/solid feel. I was skeptical because of how cheap this set is. I'm VERY happy to say, this is the SAME keyboard as the wired, just wireless. The mouse also has a nice weight/premium feel to it. This is coming from a gamer and IT worker, that fir my gaming set up, I own multiple Ducky keyboards with various Cherry MX switches and typically favor Logitech Pro/ Pro X mice. Honestly, I would give up all of those for this set up all day. It's really that good. You'll spend more $$ of garbage Dell/HP etc brands online or at a retailer that can't touch this on quality and price. Seriously, do not pass on this set because of the price. This is NOT a cheap built keyboard/mouse.

Every time I order a keyboard from Cherry in the past year I have to return it because they keep sending me wrong layouts. This one came in quertz layout. I only ordered it because the wired ones were European layouts. I just want one like the 2 that I have, exactly the same, why aren't they making normal US layout keyboards for the Stream series anymore? I can't even just get the US with Euro key one even.
