Performs Exactly as Promised I’ve been using the Rainy filter for over two years, and it’s been working great. The key is proper installation — if the outlet slope or pipe angle isn’t right, leaves can get stuck, but once adjusted correctly, the system runs smoothly with no clogs. The 250-micron mesh is actually ideal for Indian rooftops — it prevents choking and still filters out dust, leaves, and debris. For finer filtration, I’ve added a small tank filter, and my water stays very clean.

I’ve seen a few people mention that Rainy only removes large debris — but that’s not been my experience. It easily filters out leaves, dust, and insects, and the water that reaches my tank looks clean and clear. It’s true that very fine particles or algae can pass through — but that’s common for all first-stage filters, even expensive imported ones. The easy fix is to add a simple sand or tank filter after Rainy, which gives crystal-clear water. That’s what I’ve done, and the water quality has been excellent since. What I really appreciate is how low-maintenance the Rainy system is. The stainless steel filter doesn’t rust, cleaning takes just a minute, and parts are easily available. For the price and long-term reliability, it’s been totally worth it for me.

I’ve used both Rainy and Neerain filters at my property, and honestly, Rainy doesn’t waste as much water as some people say. The first few litres are meant to flush out roof dust — that’s normal for any system. After that, almost all clean water goes into the tank. Once I adjusted the slope and outlet, the wastage dropped to less than 10%, even during heavy rains. The filter handles high flow really well, and my tanks fill up fast. For Indian roofs and rainfall, Rainy’s design is actually more practical and easier to maintain.

Great product! It was really easy to install, even for someone like me who isn’t very handy. The filtered water is exceptionally clean, and the filter requires very little maintenance. It's been the best investment for our garden and has also helped with many household water needs.
