Bayou Classic 4-Gallon Stainless Fryer — Oil-Saving, High-Quality Outdoor Fryer
The Bayou Classic 700-704 4-Gallon Stainless Fryer with Cart has been one of the best outdoor cooking investments I’ve made. The design is sturdy, easy to move around with the cart, and the stainless steel build gives it both durability and a clean professional look. One of the best parts is how much oil it saves compared to traditional deep fryers. The V-bottom design keeps food particles from burning, which helps the oil last longer, so you’re not constantly replacing it. That savings on oil helps offset the initial price of the fryer, making it a smart long-term buy. The included two stainless mesh baskets are perfect for frying multiple items at once, and the built-in thermometer and drain valve make frying and cleanup so much easier. I also like that it comes with a high-pressure regulator and stainless braided LPG hose — feels secure and safe to use. ✅ Pros: Saves money on oil with efficient design Durable stainless steel construction Comes with cart, baskets, regulator, and hose — all in one package Heats quickly and maintains temperature well Easy to clean with the drain valve ❌ Cons: Takes up space, so best for those with a dedicated cooking area 💡 Tips: Use a good-quality thermometer alongside the built-in one to double-check oil temps for delicate frying. Filter and store your oil after each use to maximize lifespan. Have a large tray or table nearby when cooking — helps with managing food when frying in batches. Always test propane connections for leaks before firing it up. Bottom Line: The Bayou Classic 4-gallon fryer is an outdoor cooking powerhouse. It saves money on oil, cooks food evenly, and is built to last. If you fry often — fish, chicken, fries, or hushpuppies — this is absolutely worth the investment.

Good quality, well-made, perfect size.
OMGOSH, my husband is obsessed with this fryer! He and I put it together fairly quickly and bonus-not one single “discussion”. The instructions were easy to follow (for me anyway, men don’t use them!) This fryer is the perfect size. He couldn’t wait to have some friends over for a fish fry. Works great, couldn’t be happier. One thing to remember, the propane tank has to sit level or the intake heat/flame isn’t as strong as it should be.

Stainless Cajun fryer
Got this as a supplement to an RV 3 basket fryer. Being a metal fabricator, it uses much lighter/thinner materials for the deep part of it. BeingthatI alsowork with a lot of engineers most of my life, I can also see where some improvements could be made. But I got this one for cooking home made hushpuppies for the most part. The hushpuppies require a lower temp than the fish I cook in my big fryer. And this fit the bill perfectly since it runs at a lower temp. I expect the stainless to last a good while

This Thing Is Amazing!
Man I am glad that I got this. It is one of ,if not, my favorite cooking appliance. We use it every week. Everyone that comes over is thoroughly impressed and wants to know where to get one. It cooks like a commercial fryer. It heats up quickly even with the propane valve barely open. It is noisy when the propane is turned completely up, but not enough to bother my neighbor who wants one now. I also love that it's outside. Anyone who has done any serious frying will appreciate that the mess and smell associated with frying is outside. I love that it's stainless and cleans up easily.

Great fryer. Easy to setup.
I bought this fryer for my kid's 8th birthday party for chicken tenders and fries (because, of course that's what the kids wanted) for about 60 or 70 people. I've never owned a dedicated fryer, but my sister who helped me cook and who has worked in commercial kitchens for decades is very experienced with fryers. She was impressed with this product's ability to hold temp. She and I were both also pleasantly surprised that the fill line is EXACTLY where a 35 pound container of oil ends. I was expecting to have to top it off when I tested it, but it's obviously been designed to that standard, which is great. Assembly was easy. It took about fifteen minutes and required no special tools. I tested the thermometer as the instructions define and discovered that it was faulty. A quick call to the number listed in the instructions was immediately answered by a real person who apologized for the inconvenience, shipped me another thermometer immediately without hassle, and gave me a few tips on usage. I've used it three time so far and I have to say I'm very pleased. When I've fried before in a stock pot, the sediment drops directly into the heat source, so your oil starts to taste gritty after frying for a while. This unit has the heat source lifted off the bottom, so crumbs don't burn and your oil stays fresh longer. The design of the element is also angled so if anything does fall through the oil on top of it, it slips right off below. Again, really great design. Clean up is very easy, too. Again, the tank holds exactly 35 pounds, so you can go right back in the same container with ease. After emptying the oil, there will be a little bit left at the very bottom (also angled), which I initially thought was a flaw, but after frying for 4 hours, I understand that the little bit of oil that doesn't drain contains almost all of the crumbs. Once again, great design. I don't write reviews very often, but I felt that the trifecta of high build quality, great design, and responsive customer service were deserving of my time and attention. Thanks!
