Quite, effective and easy to install
This is an amazing little heatsink and fan.My idle temp used to be 50/60 degrees C...But with this it is now 30!It's really quite and with headphones on or if the device is not out in the open, it cannot be heard at all!Very well made and very easy to install!I have the fan set to just run constantly as I want the heat to be dissipated all the time. But I cannot notice that it is on most of the time, due to the low noise level!

Keep the SoC cool, even when overclocked
CPU set to 2000Mhz & GPU 750Mhz on a Raspberry Pi 4 BOn a 4k display the max temp is around 64c and at full HD max is about 61c. This is with the fan set to only come on when the temperature hits 60c so work perfectly as the Raspberry Pi 4 B doesn't throttle until you hit 80c!

10-15 decrease in temperature with no fan
Pretty happy with this heatsink. I had some cheap individual heatsink that were working fine with a fan, but then the fan broke and by themself they could not cool the raspberry pi enough. I have a RPI4b with no overclock (old board revision, so 1.5ghz) and with some light load it was hovering around 60-65 degrees, with peaks in the 70s. This heatsink reduced it to around 45-50 degrees with the fan turned off. With the fan on the temperature can easily go down to the mid 30s.The fan itself is a bit noisy, but not too bad. Noise can be further reduced by connecting it to the 3.3v pin instead of the 5v one (it doesn't seem to be officially supported, but I tested it and it works fine). That said I've left it on the 5v pin and just configured it to turn on only above 65 degrees (this is a programmable fan, which is extremely nice) so that I won't have to ear it unless the Pi really need some cool off.Build quality is nice, a nice chunk of (I think) aluminium and some heat pads. The heatsink itself is compact and allows access to the GPIO pins, most other ports on the PI (but might make them a bit more cumbersome) and to place the Pi in a "standard" case (but note that the screws might interfere with the Pi high in the case - a simple fix was to chop off a tiny bit of plastic from my generic case to make the Pi level again).Hopefully the fan itself won't break down in a few months time, otherwise I would suggest this to anyone looking for a small and silent heatsink but with a fan for all situations.

A really good solution
Installed in a NESPi case so the case needed two of its fixings removed but otherwise all good.

Reduces wireless signals somewhat, cooling is effective.
It is important to note that Wifi and Bluetooth signal will degrade after installation. Otherwise, the unit reduces CPU temperature by approximatley 15C which is significant.

Perfect Fit and Great Cooling
In the past I have mostly used Raspberry Pi 3B+ boards for my projects which don't really need much in the way of cooling however for one new project I needed something more powerful and so I purchased a Pi 4B board. These do need to be cooled and as my project required it to be running 24/7 I wanted a good quality cooling device, this definitely fits the bill. The cooling unit is lightweight and completely covers the chips on the board thereby spreading the heat across the entire surface, this not only works much better than separate chip heat sinks but also looks much sleeker. Fitting this is very easy, all of the holes are aligned perfectly and it comes with everything needed to complete the job.Although this does come with thermal tabs I had some Thermaltake sheets so I decided to use that instead but I'm sure that the supplied tabs will work as well. Once fitted I just needed to plug the fan into the pins of the board and the job was done.On testing the board after fitting this I found it to be pretty quiet and when installed into a case I couldn't really hear the fan at all over the normal background noise of the room. I hadn't run this board without the cooling unit fitted so I can't really compare temperatures however even when running a heavy load during the installation of a program the temperature stayed well below the safety line and even after two weeks of running constantly I haven't had one error come up in the logs which I did get on my Pi 3B+ boards, so this cooler is certainly doing a good job.Out of a case I would expect the fan to gather dust and become less functional so it is very worthwhile to use this inside a roomy housing but so long as you kept the fan clean then it can be used as it is.Works well and looks amazing,Recommended.
