Cleared the faults
Expensive but cleared the fault code on my JK that the cheap version didn't. Worth it.

It works great, it's a bit difficult to install, but not impossible
The aftermarket ones I bought went out within a year. I went OEM and was tired of replacing these aftermarket actuators. My advice would be to disconnect the battery and align the gear marks back; I used a 9-volt battery and two wires to move the gear correctly. The HVAC calibration will need to be reset if the car powers up while you are replacing the actuator and the gear alignment is lost. It is best not to power up the car while replacing the actuator since you will need a bi-directional OBD reader.

Exact part for my 2018 JK Wrangler
I researched the part number on the mopar website and found this part on Amazon and was cheaper. Part shipped in padded package and arrived within a week (shipped ground). Part works perfectly and appears to have been from a Mopar dealership. The 2018 JK has three of these in the system. The one I had to replace was the hot/cold actuator that sits on the driver side. I marked as a 4 for install as the tight angles to get the part installed was a bit harder than the other two actuators on the passenger side. Take your time and eventually you will get the part lined up and screws installed. Part did come with two new screws. Be sure to install the lever arm from the old part in about the same position on the new.

Fixed the clicking and blinking amber defrost light problems
Stopped the annoying clicking in my 2012 Dodge Avenger. This went in the right side, passenger side behind the glove box, the easiest one to get to, and it used for the recirculate blend door. From what I can tell though, there are three total for the heater/AC and they are all the same part number. Replacing this part also stopped the amber defrost light from blinking for the first 60 seconds when you got in the car which also made the AC not work during that time. When the actuator goes bad, it looses the memory on its location, so it has to go through this re-calibration routine, every time, which takes time and prevents the AC from working. It didn't always click though, but the clicking and the blinking amber defrost light are the tell tail signs that you need a new actuator. There are three though, recirculate, mode (defrost, feet, vents) and AC/heater. I'm almost certain this works for all three. It's a genuine Mopar part. Don't get the knock-off branded ones. Just my opinion. Fixed two problems in one. Fairly easy install. Just make sure the little white gear is in the same orientation as from the one you just pulled out. Or else it may not fit onto the blend door coupler. To do this I hooked up the harness, shut the door, waited a minute, then opened the door. the actuator started to spin, once it rotated until it was in the same position as the original one, I pulled the harness plug out to stop it. Then it fit right onto the blend door easily, especially since it's a blind install it can be tricky. Good luck.

Fixed No Heat problem on a 2015 Jeep Patriot
Heater blowing cold air only because old actuator was getting stuck. This Mopar part is the right fit and heater now blows hot air. Regular part stores sell a different part model they claim will fit but they are of a different design. I called Chrysler Jeep dealer and they confirmed the Mopar part is the right fit. I saved about $20 buying from Amazon instead from the dealer. This part installs under the driver's side dashboard. Easy to access, remove screws and install new one. Make sure the plastic lever arm that controls the air flow connects to the actuator the same manner you removed the old one.

Don’t bother with the off brand. This one works immediately!
As a replacement, works great—I tried the other “D” brand first but couldn’t get it to work. This one worked right away. Given what a pain replacing it was (in my case, the air recirculation actuator (lucky me). I only docked it because it’s crazy to put a plastic cog that costs a minuscule fraction of a cents worth of plastic in a thing that is close to impossible to reach in the first place. Well played, mopar. At least in a jeep jku, the shortest ratcheting thumb drive possible is absolutely necessary, along with a bit that’s a total of .5” long and a second driver bit that’s 2” long. My original died at about 125k miles.

Worked
Tried another non-OEM brand but it didn’t calibrate properly. This one calibrated the first time. Took a star off because of the ridiculous price but I didn’t want to order and install another off-brand actuator. 2015 JK.

Matched factory part on the 2013 Jeep Wrangler - Passenger side blend door actuator.
Very difficult to install due to limited access space. Know that up front and be very patient. Needed very small 90 degree ratcheting tools to access the two Philips head screw/7mm bolts that hold this in place. No instructions come with the part. I found the part was set for the blend door to be in the middle position, not fully opened or fully closed. I did see a video where the part was installed with the blend door in the wrong position and the new (non-mopar) actuator broke. You want a quality part because you will not want to do this install twice. No more clicking noise from behind the glovebox!
