At first I was a little disappointed because while weighty—we ARE talking about steel here—they are not the over-sized version of a steak knife you might see in a restaurant. My disappointment was short-lived. The knives are sized enough to look good next to my other flatware in a table setting and, more importantly, they are some kind of sharp. You will not have to ‘saw’ at your meat. They look good, and, my friend, please be careful. I did say they were sharp, right? Believe me.

These Henckels steak knives are absolutely fantastic! From the moment I unboxed them, I could tell they were high-quality—sleek design, perfectly balanced, and ultra-sharp right out of the box. Cutting through steak, chicken, or even thick pork chops feels effortless. No sawing, no tearing—just clean, smooth cuts every time. You can really feel the German craftsmanship in these knives, they are heavy and not at all flimsy or lightweight. They have a solid, durable feel and look like they belong in a top-tier restaurant. I also love that cleanup is a breeze—whether you hand wash or toss them in the dishwasher, they come out spotless and rust-free. After trying so many different knife sets over the years, I can confidently say this will be the last one I ever need to buy. If you're looking to upgrade your dining experience or impress dinner guests, this set is a must-have. Highly recommended!

I am no knife expert by any means, but I find some of the reviews about these knives difficult to understand specifically, the sharpness of the blade. These knives are sharp, and you would be well advised to be careful when washing or handling them. How long they stay this way time will tell, but out of the box, they are extremely sharp. As for the design, they are comfortable to hold and use and they just feel good in my hands. To me, they feel weighted very well and I can feel the weight of the blade when cutting. In summary, you can spend a lot more for better knives I'm sure, but these are reasonably priced for Henkels knives and I'm sure they will last me a very long time since I take care of my utensils by hand washing and drying.

Very nice solid set of steak knives. Handles are solid wood and nicely finished. Solid construction and quite sharp on arrival. Not very visible in product photos but edge is partially serrated as most people would want.

Simple, lovely design. Slim profile, nicely balanced. Am confident they will maintain sharpness as have other knives I've acquired of this brand.

Very sharp, nice heft, looks good, very comfortable while using, good value for 8 knives.

They were exactly what I was looking for except the size! The length is about 1 inch too short, which makes it harder to use. The blade is excellent. If this brand had designed the handle longer and curvier then I would have bought all cutlery from them regardless of the price for the quality is outstanding!!
