This toilet seat is excellent value you for money bought it to replace a more expensive seat from Argos , made from plastic so easy to clean, fitting simplistic because the fittings are not metal they secure the seat better , no movement or wobbling, the back fitting is a long strip which looks nicer , soft close mechanism works perfectly, will be buying another for the downstairs toilet .

Firstly this was very easy to fit. You slide two plastic bolts through two fittings that then go into a slot in the seat and can move left and right and up and down to allow for different hole placement on whatever toilet design you have. Two plastic screw bolts hold the seat in place with hand tightening. That’s it, a five minute job. The seat material is glossy grey plastic that is easy to wipe clean and seems sturdy to sit on, with just a slight give as you put your full weight on it. I am 17 stone and had no issues sitting down on this. The slow drop mechanism is very slow indeed. Literally 20 seconds to allow the seat and lid to settle without any slamming noise. The seat looks attractive and the fact that the mounting section is flat and covers the whole area of the holes means there is no annoying gap between the holes to get dirty, so cleaning is easier with no need to put a cloth or brush between them. The seat however is NOT quick release as described, and I spent about 10 minutes fiddling with the unit to see if there was any hidden catch or button to press to lift the seat off the pan. One thing I noticed is that the design of the universal fitting means the seat can slide left to right by about 1 inch if you push it, so this might be a problem if you were to sit on it and move around too much. Basically for the price this perfectly ok for most, but some people will find problems with it.

Worth buying easy to put on

I recently purchased the Ram® Grey Soft Close Toilet Seat and overall, it's a decent product. The material feels durable and the soft-close feature works well, preventing any loud slamming noises. The quick-release mechanism also makes cleaning relatively easy. However, I did encounter a couple of minor issues during installation, and the seat is slightly smaller than expected. Despite these drawbacks, it serves its purpose adequately.

Really pleased with this toilet seat! It was super easy to install – anyone can do it in minutes. The colour looks great and matches perfectly with my bathroom. The soft-close feature is a big bonus, lowering gently without any noise. The plastic feels strong with a nice smooth texture too. Great quality for the price – definitely recommend!
