Artificial Intelligence: A Modern Approach, Global Edition (Pearson series in Artificial Intelligence)

Not cheap but extensive and comprehensive. Its not for the timid but extremely informative with very broad and deep subject matter knowledge contained within it. If you are undertaking any serious study on AI its worth purchasing.

Such a great book

This book is incredibly thorough, maybe a little bit too much. There are too many high level AI books out there and I was looking to get a deeper understanding of the technology. This book will definitely get you there if you are searching for that low level of detail. FYI, this is a college kind of book

This book needs no introductions. As mentioned in the foreword, this edition covers (or mentions) most of the advances that have appeared during the last decade (and there have been many of them!). It pretty much is the standard text used in a lot of universities worldwide. With a quick search you can find lectures and other material online from top universities such as UC Berkeley where it is the required textbook. I got the international edition (coloured) and at less than £40 I consider it to be a bargain. Although used, it arrived in an excellent condition.

A good, methodical and thorough breakdown of the 'thought' processes employed by current AI. I bought this not as someone directly involved in AI (I'm not), but as someone involved in creative and lateral thinking. It was good wider-reading.

This new edition is the best single volume tome on the exiting field that is AI. While there are many more technical minded manuals for those who wish to gain skill in order to become AI engineers, this book is comprehensive. If a young undergraduate wishes to read ahead; this is where to start. If a director of an ai startup wants to gain a deep understanding of the field; this is the best single vol source. If you are more interested in a comprehensive survey on deep learning in particular, I would recommend the deep learning book. Thanks for all the fish. AB

Good book

The book has developed significantly over the years. It covers the Machine Learning field very well and I find the explanation easy to understand. It is not a Deep Learning only book but it covers DL, and that is perfectly fine.

A well-written book that covers all the AI topics providing several practical examples that helps you to understand the concepts better

Arrived very quick !

An information rich book with lots of really insightful and useful stuff inside. I've been utilising this book almost daily for months now. My only negative for this book is that the binding looks like it won't hold super well with time and use and given how much I've been using this as my go to AI Bible, I'm worried that it will deteriorate quickly. I'd happily purchase again if a hardback copy were made available!
