I do a lot of stonework and go through dozens of wire brushes in a year. I have been lucky in the past with buying cheap ones but have noticed that over the years the quality has got worse and worse. The last batch of cheap ones were totally useless. Decided to try these more expensive ones and so far am very impressed with them. No loss of bristles so far although they do tend to bend outwards on the outer rows but that's not really an issue for me. The four row brushes are infinitely better, stronger and longer lasting than the three rows. Here's a handy tip, ... When the front bristles get worn down which they normally do first, simply cut back to the next row of good bristles using a junior hacksaw. This gives a 'new' brush and a different shape to use in places where the pointy ones can't get in. :-) .

What can I say; as a toothbrush or for applying paint it would be rubbish, but for cleaning up a bit of rusty metal or something you have just welded then it works perfectly. Odd really, normally a wire brush ends up looking like a worn out toothbrush after a fairly short time and the handles gets caked in accumulated filth, this little baby seems to be standing up to its life of abuse rather well. When it finally does join it's worn out brothers in the box in my garage I keep things like this in (well you just never know) then I'll replace it with another exactly the same. You can't say fairer than that.
