Incredible value, no problems here!
Worked great right out of the box. It looks like a brand new modem and appears to work the same. For those curious about setup with my internet provider: I didn't even need the serial number or MAC address to activate on Comcast XFINITY in the SF Bay Area. I signed up for service online, plugged the modem in to the cable connection and powered it on, plugged the modem's output into a computer, and everything worked brilliantly right away. Our home was already pre-wired for service, so I didn't even need to speak to anyone at Comcast, which is always a plus. Very happy with this amazing value. It's happy providing service to a Google Wifi router and we're seeing as-advertised speeds and haven't had the slightest hiccup.

Worked for a bit for comcast then started to fail ...
Worked for a bit for comcast then started to fail. Called Tech out many of times they even ran a new cable to the box. Still fails to boot they have to keep reloading there firmware or whatever to get it to boot and get a IP this only happens when it loses power. So I am saying becareful with this maybe spend the extra money for a 16x8 one vs this 4X4.

Works with Time Warner
Works well. As expected, I had to call Time Warner to have it activated, but it was no problem to do so. I used rubbing alcohol to uncover the serial number (per another reviewer's suggestion) in case I needed it, but they didn't ask for it - only the model number and whether it's docsis 2 or 3 (it's 3.0). I really like the clear indicator lights on the front. I did receive a faulty ethernet cable with it, but as I didn't want to return the entire unit and re-order it, the seller offered a partial refund to cover the cost of a new cable. Faulty cables of all kinds seem to be far more common now; I recently purchased a new external DVD player with a faulty USB cable, for example. I don't fault the seller for a general decline in quality control among manufacturers of inexpensive cables : )

Broke within 2 months
This product worked great for about 1.5 months after purchasing. Then it just stopped working out of the blue one day. There was no power, so we tried troubleshooting but couldn't get it to power back on. We also tried calling Just Right! for support, and the number led us to an entirely different company. We never were able to figure out how to contact the correct company for support.

Great product for the money
I bought this Modem for $49.99 refurbished to replace the rental modem from TWC. the rental cost me $10.00 monthly, that being said it will pay for itself in savings very quickly. the modem is very sleek and slim in comparison to the previous unit (rental Unit) . the installation process was almost seamless, i unplugged the old one and connected the new one. there wasn't much to do after, just call TWC for the activation.the tech asked three questions. 1. what is the mac address 2. is it mac or CD mac 3. try to load up a web page, are you able to surf the internet now. it all took about 20 minutes. ultimately the modem boosted my speeds up a bit from where i was; i am getting a bit more download and upload speed and the internet seems much stable. the only thing that was disappointing was it didn't come with the little stands/brackets shown in the picture which is the reason for the 4 stars. overall i recommend this modem as a replacement for your rental unit. what i highly recommend is owning your modem rather than paying that silly rental fee. good luck

Works While Saving Me Money!
A little concern at first with a Refurbished unit but the reviews seems promising and it was cheap enough to risk it. It replaced my leased modem from Time Warner (Upstate NY) and is working just as well so far. Had to call in to activate but took less than 10 minutes. I had my own wireless router (Linksys) and it worked w/o issues. This CMD31T has 1 port (for your router) and one needs to remember that each time a device (router or laptop) is connected you will need to reboot the CMD31T, because it seem to latch onto the MAC address of the last connected device. At least this is what I had to do when I had initially configured it with my laptop, and then switched over to my router. Its been 2 weeks now, if it goes 4 more weeks, it would have paid for itself. I will update again if anything happens, but for now, I'm completely satisfied.

R¡¡¡¡E¡¡¡¡A¡¡¡¡D!!!! T¡¡¡¡H¡¡¡¡I¡¡¡¡S!!!!
I just personally hate the internet companies this product is probably just as good as an expensive one but the internet is controlled by comcast and spectrum regardless of your router they choose how well you receive internet dont be fooled

Works with Comcast.
Worked well with Comcast xfinity. I did have to call up the tech hotline and give them the MAC address for this replacement modem. I did have some difficulty with adding in a wifi router after I got this modem up and running. The added in wifi router seemed to be continually rejected by Comcast. When I dropped back to using just this modem connected directly to my computer it worked fine but not when I coupled in the router. I stumbled by chance on a work-a-round. My router had an option where I could patch it in to my computer, go into the admin menu and have the router emulate my computer's MAC address. Then upon patching it back to the modem, Comcast accepted it right away and it's been fine ever since.
