Nursing Drug Handbook 2017

This book was very helpful and helped me get through my Pharmacology class. It was easy to go through and I would recommend it to anyone in the healthcare field.

The media could not be loaded.  Aún lo tengo y lo uso. Lo utilice al principio para mis estudios en enfermería. Puede que uno que otro medicamento viejo no aparezca. Fácil de usar, con imágenes de algunos de los medicamentos, páginas suaves, con buena tinta. Tiene tamaño de letras un poco pequeño. Es grueso y un poco pesado. No es tamaño “pocket”.

I was so excitde to recieve my new drug guide! I haven't ordered one in about four years (since nursing school), so I decided it was time for an update. Although it isn't all about the brand, I have trusted Lippincott to always give me an informative, quality product, and have used their brands of nursing education supplements since nursing school. My school actually required Lippincott brand items! So staying loyal to my brand, I chose this guide and I'm not disappointed. This guide is comprehensive, easy to understand, and informative. I bring it to work with me so I can educate myself quickly on unfamiliar drugs. Definitely recommend! Noelle - BSN, RN

Good book especially for nursing students. Easy to find medications since it is categorized alphabetically. Includes information such as dosage, class of medication, side effects, special considerations and administration and pediatric dosing. Also includes information related to pregnancy and Lactation.

great info, good price, arrived in time expected. one problem though...the top corners were little bent (probably from packing book intolarge box with several other items) which is ok for me, but wouldn't want to give as a gift that way. bought this book because althoughanyone can get on the internet and look up a drug, this is a trusted source and i can carry the book with me to my dad's house wherethere is no internet to help him with questions he has about his long list of medications!

I highly recommend this volume for a drug handbook to any medical professional, either clinical or clerical. The descriptions and information available for each drug is complete and gives an overall evaluation of their uses and contraindications. It even has a pronunciation for each generic name. The only drawback is that all the drugs are listed alphabetically according to their generic forms/names, although I guess that is pretty standard in references of this type.

This book was so timely and I immediately put it to use. I found so much in it to support my practice setting and even my clients have appreciated being able to look things over when appropriate and needed to support patient education efforts. An excellent reference book that has real time application in the real world of assisting people who partner with you in their reach for a more complete level in their wellness.

This is the only drug handbook I have bought for 20 years to carry around with me in my visiting nurse work. I like to have a hard copy with me when in patients' homes for those times the laptop just doesn't work, or when the agency drug info just isn't adequate. Dependable, thorough, and easy to find info.
