Before and after pics! Stupidly backed into a large rock while on a trip to Colorado in my new “trail boss” Silverado. The scratches were pretty deep but the area was only thumb width and maybe 1.5 inches long. Still, it drove me crazy. Truck has 5k miles on it and is mint….or was mint. Asked some guys on the Silverado subreddit what they reckon they would do, and got some good advice. Some said it may be worth it to have a shop professionally fix it, tho it would be under my $1k deductible. Others said it’s a truck and sometimes it’ll get scratches and dings. It is the nature of a truck lol. Said to just use a marker or a paint touch up pen. Looked online and found this one. Chose GM black, as that’s what mine is, and it matched it perfectly. Though, black isn’t that hard to color match, I’d wager. Wiped the scratch clean with 90% rubbing alcohol. It evaporates fast, love the stuff. Shook the pen, cracked the paint side open, filled in the scratch. Waited half an hour. Shook, opened the clear coat side. Applied the coat over the new paint. Waited an hour or so and rubbed my fingers over it and it was sealed. Did its job! Very hard to notice unless you know where to look and get the right angle. Very pleased! Also did a rock chip on the bumper. That was a little meh, as it wanted to run for some reason, but used my rubbing alcohol to wipe off excess quickly and it is super hard to even find where the repair is now, too! Still have left over in the pen and am sure I’ll end up using it over the years. Will buy another for my other vehicle and patch it up as well. It may not be perfect like a body shop, but it’s friggin nearly so for $20.

Product is as described. It makes small rock chips in the paint disappear. Goes on fairly thick, dries in about 10 minutes. The color matches well, the raven black is just what we needed.

Easier than I expected with great results. My passenger side mirror was badly scratched by some unknown character. Plus the finder below it was also scratched in a pattern or square. People have little regard for others vehicles in parking lots. The Black One was a great match for my vehicle. However I did need to do a second coat, since the scratches were deep. So, the second coat actually lifted and filled them nicely.

if you can find your color code you'll like this paint pen. it has multiple ways to touch up paint.

I liked the stone for sanding with the two applicators worked out well.
