Cracker - desertcart.com Music Review: 1st Cracker - 1st Cracker album , some really good stuff , they still do a show here and there generally including a couple from this album . Review: Great Album - I was in high school in the early 90's and knew of cracker, but I listen to more mainstream alternative, the dead, Phish, and older rock. I was reminded of Cracker while listening to Pandora. I purchased the debut Cracker c.d. and kerosene hat c.d. They are both good C.D.'s, but this one is already becoming a favorite of my collection. I am disappointed I didn't own it a long time ago. What a great mix of classic rock, outlaw country, and edgy 90's sound. It was a great purchase to say the least. Not a bad song on the album, but I love Teen Angst, Happy Birthday to me, This is Cracker Soul, and Mr. Wrong, and many of the other songs are quickly growing into favorites (a sign of a great album in my mind). Album sounds a little like John Hiatt to me with more of a 90's edge to it; writing is not quite as strong as Hiatt though in my opinion. Purchase it, you won't be disappointed.

Cracker’s Debut Really Shines on Music on Vinyl!
This release sounds fantastic on vinyl. MOV did a great job. The price was slightly steep at $33, but it sounds as good as it’s worth.

A debut that stands the test of time
What’s not to like about lowery and co. Acerbic biting lyrics and great tunefulness!

Four Stars
Pretty solid freshman effort. I do prefer their second album, "Kerosene Hat," but this one is also getting play.

Out of print title
I picked up this out of print Cracker debut for $0.25, and it's pretty good. I only knew the "What the World Needs Now' song, but I have almost every other Cracker title, so it was good to add this to my collection for so little. Excellent album, great price, Amazon rocks!

lost classic
If you are like me you heard Kerosene hat's "low" and were hooked if not then you really need to check out cracker the early nineties and not easy to find debut album . Humor, soul, and good musicianship make this band one of my top picks of the nineties . Raw, heartfelt with A little something everyone can relate to!

Great classic Cracker album. Pair it with Kerosene Hat from an awesome band.
