You will not regret this purchase
This tiny little pump packs in a lot of power. If you are a backpacker and don’t want to be bothered with blowing up your sleeping pad at the end of a long hard hike then this is the pump for you. It is very lightweight, it is rechargeable, and blows up your sleeping pad in a fraction of the time compared to manually blowing it up. It is the perfect luxury item.

Compact illuminated powerhouse.
The Flextailgear Pump is an incredibly compact and surprisingly powerful portable air pump. Its lightweight design makes it a breeze to carry, and its efficiency in inflating various items like air mattresses, pool floats, and camping gear is impressive. I have used it as a bellows to supercharge campfires. It is perfect for inflating sleeping pads in the winter to keep your sleeping pad condensation free on the interior. Despite its small size, it totally delivers, making it an excellent choice for the outdoorsy seeking convenience without having to compromise on power. The built in light only solidified its place in my outdoor gear.

For backpackers, mostly better than a pump sack. Reasonably light, and fast. Durability unknown.
It took a bit to figure out what adapters to assemble to fit my mattress. A full charge filled my Therm-a-Rest NeoAir XTherm Max (full length) mattress 5 times. The first fill took just under 60 seconds, the fifth took about 90. Though it had slowed down, the battery wasn’t dead. Also, on the first deflate, I ran the pump in deflate mode to see how much it helped. (Not much, as it turns out. But this did run the battery for a few additional seconds.) By way of reference, it takes me about 2:30 to fill the mattress using the pump sack. Downsides: - Noise. Quite an annoying, high/ pitched whine. - Weight. With the necessary adapter, the “Tiny Pump X” weighs 3.3 oz vs. 1.9 for pump sack, so it’s heavier by 1.4 oz. - It’s another thing to worry about charging. Charging uses a USB-C cable. - I have no notion of how reliable or fragile it is. The pump spins at high speed, so I can imagine it has a limited life. It’s a compact unit and is easy enough to protect with a pair of socks or similar. - You cannot walk away while the pump is running. (It keeps running and would eventually burn out the pump, or discharge the battery). - The weirdness of the on/off switch, which requires a very particular tap to turn the pump on. (Otherwise you get nothing or you turn the lights on.) This is surprisingly annoying. Upsides: - Faster. - Much easier to operate in a cramped space, such as inside a tent. I use my pump sack as a mostly waterproof clothes bag, so there’s little real cost to the redundancy of carrying it.

Great product
So convenient, weighs nothing, pumps pretty quickly, plus it doubles as a little hanging light in my tent. What's not to love?

Easy to use and light/compact for travel
This pump is very handy for travel. It's small and the rechargeable battery lasts long. It's very convenient to have on the go when have to blow up floaties or inflatable bathtub for babies. It also comes with several adaptors that'll fit various openings. Highly recommended.

great little pump/light that does what it says and does it well
Ignore what many reviewers have said about this pump will not deflate items as it has no proper fittings . Anything this pump can inflate, it can deflate. On single valve items the same adapter works on both to inflate and deflate. On items such as my pad you have to change the adapter but the one supplied will still work. I extremely happy with this pump. Pump battery life full charge 15min per specs. Results: Bivaro 75x22x3 non insulate rectangular pad. Inflate 40.6 secs. Larger of 2 nozzles fit perfectly. Note pad was too firm to be comfortable so I had to let some air out. I estimate about 36 seconds would have been proper inflation for comfort. The valve system in this pad actually does not require deflation assistance as it self deflates in a min or so by just leaving the valve open. I did attach the Tiny Pump X as soon as I opened the deflate cap on the valve and it sucked it flat in secs. Not the best test, but pump did attach easily and emptied pad quicker. For pads that are slow to deflate I see no reason this pump would not work well. I see reviews using this Tiny pump to inflate the 6 and 8 in thick car camping mattresses. Apparently it will but that is not what this pump is designed for. If you have a mattress like that you are car camping and you can carry a 12 volt plug-in charger or a rechargeable or battery pump. Although this tiny pump would be handy during middle of the night mattress leaks. Tiny Pump X light (Tiny Pump is same pump without led light): Even on low (est 10 hrs run time) it lights up average campsite evenly. Med (2.5 hrs) and Max (1 hr) are noticeably brighter. Full recharge time I have not measured yet. Instructions omit recharge time. Indicator Lights: red charging and during use charge below 5% needs charging. Green full charge. Specs do not say if pump will overcharge if left on charger after green light shows. Pump has a wire bail for carry/hanging that folds flat to pump. Comes with a nylon drawstring storage bag that easily holds everything. Notes: if the light is not an issue buy the Tiny Pump. I almost did. I am a long distance backpacker and previously tested/evaluated outdoor gear for several major companies. Also multi day(wk) kayak and canoe trips. So my gear is very important to me. FYI: ck out the Bivaro pad. It is very inexpensive on Amazon. I have used it as my 3 season pad for 2 yrs now. I dumped my air Thermarest that sounded like sleeping on a bag of potato chips for the Bivaro. Was curious if a pad this inexpensive could be any good and no regrets. About 1/5 the price of brand name pads also.

Great little pump!
This thing pushes air! It fills up my Thermalite air mattress in record time. It's just plain fast. The battery life is great as well. The addition of the soft white light with adjustable brightness is really nice. For something this small to be and to do what it does so well aaaand have a secondary function is awesome. The only thing I wish it had was better attachments and/or better instructions. Update: The attachments are almost worthless. I've got a thermarest air mattress and I have to physcially push the rubber cup attachment up to the nozzle of the mattress to get any air flow. Basically, the "attachment" doesn't attach to the mattress or mate with it in any way. Additionally, the Flextail carry bag has lost all it's stitching - making it worthless as well, now. I've only used the friggin thing 3 times. Three...
