Installed in my sailboat recently. Direct wired my iPod to amp with 12 foot high quality cable, into RCA inputs. Set the gain and it sounds great. I also have a hand held radio that I used through the same connection. Aux power on the boats power panel provides on and off. Had to jump the remote on off wire on the amp to have it come on when powered up. Very clean, low to no noise with no signal. Driving a pair of yamaha outdoor boxes. Head units loose their memory when power is completely cut off, as is done with boats for the most part. Was a hassle to reprogram and roll through menus every time I powered it up. This simple system fills the cabin and cockpit of our small 22 foot sailboat.

Kenwood KAC 5206 400W is as i expected.Excellent performance and easy to install.I will recommend it to my best friend

The people at cartoys were selling this for $100, i pulled this up on amazon ($40 cheaper) and asked if it was the same one, they assured me if i bought it from amazon it would be black market, it would be broken and they wouldnt accept a refund. lol the amp did come in a box with 100% popped air bubbles that amazon uses for protection so that was worrisome, and the amp was FREEZING cold. however it works just fine. it powers my single 12" kicker comp in the trunk perfectly and really kicks! also it doesnt get above room temp (at least for me it doesnt)

I did not like amp.. My expectations.. Well being that the amp was 400 watts and affordable I expected the amp to at least shout out me.. Not Scream.. But at least shout.. What I got was slightly more than a whisper.. So I packed the amp up and sent it back. I replaced this with a Precision Power Black Ice and have not looked back.. Maybe I didn't hook it up correctly or my hearing is so blown I cant hear whispers any more.. but this amp did not do it for me.. Hope your experience is better than mind
