Impressive little controller.
I’m an experienced professional DJ who uses a full size Numark controller. I bought this for my Grandson who has expressed an interest in music mixing. I opened it when it arrived to check it out. It was cute and looked like a miniature version of my pro Numark controller. I connected it to one of my laptops and after tweaking a couple of settings it was working perfectly with Virtual DJ. This little mixer is very impressive. It does most of what my expensive pro unit can do. I had fun testing it out. It has a surprisingly good feel for being an inexpensive unit. Honestly, I could go out tonight and do an actual DJ show with this and it would not sound much different than it’s big brother. This is NOT a toy. I am very impressed. my Grandson is going to LOVE it!

Good enough for beginners I guess
I'm not "technically" a beginner, but I'm so far removed from mixing I might as well be. Back in college (early 2000's) I bought a used set of technics turntables and a vestax 2 channel mixer and got into Trancecore/freeform in its early stages of existing. I didn't DJ professionally at all I just enjoyed the mixing aspect of music. I probably shouldn't have bought it I just treated it as a hobby. As a hobby it was quite expensive. I just now decided to get back into mixing as a hobby and went for one of the cheaper options. This is my first foray into MIDI controllers for computers and so far I'm enjoying it. I tried all the pure software options and it left me wishing for hardware, which I now have due to purchasing the Numark Partymix. Reading the other reviews about Virtual DJ it left me curious because when I purchased it came with "Serato Lite", which I tried for a bit but I don't really like it due to the lack of available setup options (audio, etc...). I purchased the home license of Virtual DJ because it matches the Numark controller perfectly. After one evening session I am really enjoying it, just gotta get the hang of exactly how I want to route the Audio (directly through the hardware or from the computer, because if you split it it clearly causes audio-sync issues). I left it 4 stars because of the software licensing issue (Serato just doesn't provide enough for me, if it included a full home license for Virtual DJ that would be better), otherwise the hardware feels nice, the sliders/knobs have a nice "weight" to them that I almost expected a more plasticky feel due to the low cost. Buttons feel nice and clicky.

Some Real Feedback on this Controller
So I know the Party Mix has been out a while, but no one seems to have written any useful reviews outside of Amazon and so I had to figure out a lot myself. I started with a Numark Mixtrack with an external sound card, but I decided to give it a proper solution a try when I saw this on sale for $90. Setup and integration into my VDJ 8.2 build was simple, or at least until I tried to maximize efficiency. I remapped the controller by making CUE the shift key, then giving most some keys a second function (ex. Pitch reset for sync, filter for gain, etc). Coding was quite easy after I got used to the style used, although it still takes a while to achieve the desired results at times. As for the product itself, it's great build quality for something that inexpensive, although I would have liked a few changes: Smoother knobs / crossfader, a separate USB cable, proper pads (not clicking bottons), and touch sensitive jogs (not that you can scratch on it to begin with, but I tried to make it work). Additionally, being able to map the rear lights more easily would be much appreciated, and the "program 3" that supposedly properly flashes to the beat (opposed to with the bpm) seems to be voltage controlled or however most circuits of that type are run, because it's usually just a solid light at higher volumes. Despite the flaws, I don't want to be comparing it to any of the Numark Mixtrack controllers or my buddy's Pioneer DDJ-SX. This is meant to be a controller for beginners, and although I tweaked it to milk the most I could from the Party Mix, it was almost a humbling experience because I began focusing less on effects and more on the basics I had honestly forgotten while working on the MIDI mapping and my playlist edits. I'll add to this as I go, and I'll try to answer questions when possible.

Caveat emptor; great controller for a great price, but holds itself ransom after a month
I really love this controller, a lot of people complain about the buttons but I think the responsiveness of the click is perfect, I never over- or under-press and the the timing of my actions never gets screwed up. I like the particular variety of the buttons, the selection and the layout and everything, everything is really accessible, etc etc, the soundcard is great, the controller itself is really light and it's awesome that it uses a simple USB connection, simple headphone jack, yadda yadda, all in all I have only glowing things to say about the controller itself. The software, and how the controller is made to interact with the software, is where the problems come in. The software is marketed like it "comes with" the controller, which is technically true, but after about a month you're told that actually, you only have a demo license and you'll have to pay at least $50 more to keep using the software with the controller. You may be thinking, why not just use the controller with any other software you already have? Here's the kicker: if you use the controller with any other DJ software, such as Mixxx or Traktor, the button lights are extremely dull and difficult to distinguish, and you have no choice but to DJ by touch/muscle memory. I wish I were at least told I had a demo license so that this wasn't sprung on me last minute; worst case scenario, I could have had a show coming up in 6 days, gotten the "5 days left" notification, then had to totally set up everything from scratch -- my set, preferences, MIDI mapping and all that -- in a new software, IF I don't give Virtual DJ the ransom money. Well funny enough, that's the situation I'm in right now, but at least I have more than 5 days to do it. The way this controller in tandem with Virtual DJ suddenly and unexpectedly holds itself ransom and forces you to fork over even more money is incredibly weird. "LE", by the way, stands for "Limited Edition", as in "limited use". Just be aware of all this if you go ahead with buying this controller!

Does not work on some mac computers unless you can update the OS to meet minimum requirements.
Product didn't work on 13 inch mid 2012 mac book pro. Went through a lot of trouble shooting with no results. Seems to work better on a windows computer. UPDATE - I first gave this 1 star. Now I’m giving it 5 stars . This will only run on a make if you can run OS Catalina and Up. If your computer is too old you may not be able to do it but I figured it out. The machine works perfect once it’s all set up properly. For Mac users please look at the minimum OS system requirements.

Pro Tip: Buy something else unless you want to buy the software.
Review from a professional: Recently all of my full pioneer setup was in a house fire, I bought this to hold me over to prep tracks for gigs. Does everything basic that you would expect it to, I didn't expect a lot for $100. Typical things expected, faders bleed, lights are cheesy, tempo sliders do not zero but nothing outside what I am capable of working with. HOWEVER they lead you to believe and lots of other reviews will attest to this that everything is there and you are all set but, just a small 45 min or so into mixing with ALL OF THE REGISTRATION REQUIRED, the program begins to heckle you asking you for more information and if you want it to continue to work you have to pay, if that wasn't enough, it starts dumping noise through your headphones. I had a vestax running vdj a long time ago with good memories of getting me started in music, this has officially burned the bridge unfortunately. If you are a new dj and looking to get started look elsewhere, pay the few extra bucks, get something that runs serato or trakor, unfortunately for vdj it looks like their business model is now to nickle and dime.
