Exact same ingredient as Feliway and works just as well for skittish or anxious cats.
I originally bought this for a very scared new kitten I'd gotten years ago. I tried every trick I'd learned to help a new kitten adjust to a new home and new owners but nothing was working. She was so scared, I couldn't get her to come out from under the bed. So, I decided to try this because a veterinarian recommended it to me. It is a synthetic pheromone that mimics the pheromone that new cat mothers release in order to keep their newborn kittens calm and safe while they nurse and sleep. I didn't have much faith in this, at first, but was willing to give it a try. I was told it could take up to 2 weeks and should be plugged in the room the cat is in most often. It doesn't affect humans and we can't smell it. I continued to lay on the floor and talk to her as she hid under my bed, made eye contact with her, would reach my hand out to her and even sing to her. Nothing. By day 4 with Comfort Zone plugged in two different outlets in my bedroom, I heard her start to purr as I talked to her. Then, I put my hand out and she slowly sniffed it. Eventually, I had her rubbing her face against my hand, which means she's marking me with her scent; an honor coming from a cat. Little by little, I noticed a bunch of changes from her coming out from under the bed during the night time to eat by the window, rather than eating under the bed, walking around the room in curiosity about what different things there were to smell and climb and then came the biggest change which I began to fear may never happen: She jumped up on my bed and slept at my feet. After that, I knew that with time she'd be the affectionate kitty I knew she wanted to be. The poor thing was just so overtaken by fear and anxiety that she wasn't able to do anything about it until she felt safe enough. That was my first experience with this amazing product. I've used it for many cats for a variety of different issues, most recently being, my 4 year old Burmilla cat bullying my 2 year old Burmese cat. I've plugged two in for them. One is in my bedroom, where my younger cat hides from the bully cat and the other is plugged into the outlet near the cat tree downstairs, where my lovely but bully kitty tends to hangout. These have been plugged in for a week and a half now and there have been a lot less fights, my younger cat has gained some confidence and leaves my bedroom during the day for small periods of time, here and there. My older cat isn't stalking the younger one as much and seems to be less pent up with urges to attack something or someone. It's hard to know how much is time, work on the owner's part and how much is from this pheromone but given the number of times I've used it and there has been some change, though neither drastic nor complete personality change, it's enough behavioral change to give me belief that it definitely plays a beneficial role in most cats' progress.

Love it so far!
So far it seems to work well. I put all three thru out my house. I have quite a few cats that were feral and are now domesticated. They come in and out whenever they want. I have noticed less stress and fighting amongst themselves. My only complaint is that we can't seem to tighten the bottles to the main part. Each one has a small slow drip that I must put a piece of paper towel under.

Works for Transition Periods, Not a Permanent Fix
These diffusers helped a lot when introducing new cats to each other. We noticed less stress and tension during that adjustment period, and it seemed to take the edge off marking and anxious behaviors. That said, it’s not a permanent fix forever. It’s more of a support tool during transitions or stressful changes rather than something that solves behavior issues long-term on its own. Still very helpful for what it’s meant for.

Kind of messy product. Can’t say if it works for by cat. He’s been a health mess.
I’ve used both Feliway and Comfort Zone. I’m honestly not sure if either works all that well for my particular cat. Up until recently he had a pretty chronic urinary tract issue I wasn’t quite aware of the extent of that led to spraying and urinating on the carpet. I got him on a healthier low phosphorus and magnesium diet (seriously go to your vet and figure out a diet to get your male cat out of a UTI, crystal cycle that might be present). A better specialized diet has gone a long way in the last month for me. There’s a lot of good info on cat health/nutrition diets available these days that might honestly be a good complement or alternative to a product like this. This product is cheaper (significantly so than Feliway), so if moneys is an issue it might be worth sticking to this. My cats not really a good test case for it’s fidelity in my last two years of switching on and off of the two products. I will say that the design of the Comfort Zone plug in is far more stable on the wall than Feliways. The actual vials of fluid of Comfort Zone tend to leak a tad and get a tad sticky/slimy to the touch in some circumstances which probably means the covers are probably not fully sealed. The actual process of how the comfort zone product works or the formula of the fluid tends to kick up wet/sticky steam that can coat the walls and stick to the plug-in and bottle, so removal is a tad messy. I’d not noticed either issues with the Feliway brand. Not a huge deal. It just comes with a higher degree of needing to clean the product and the area around the plug-in a tad more. This product you are trading some degree of quality for cost savings at least in terms of how the tech part of the product works and how it’s packaged. You’ll need to look to other reviews from people who didn’t just in a Hail Mary continue to buy the product just in case it helped a smidge over the last two years.

Definitely worth it to help cats calm down.
These two were instant enemies. Our older ten yr old girl was having NONE of the new kittens shenanigans. We did the introduction by the books, seperate spaces and then finally we let the kitten roam free, and when we did that, my older cat really had a tough time. She was quite literally like a rock. She tensed her body up so much, she hissed so hard at him, that she gave herself an asthma attack. I was in tears because I thought we'd have to take the kitten back. I ordered this and prayed. I'm not even religious really, but hunny, I prayed these cats would get along. Now, at first it wasn't working, it was getting dangerously hot, I thought the other reviews were right. THEN I noticed it wasn't a clip in, it's a screw in bottle, it wasn't in all the way which made it get hot! I also snipped the bottom and top a bit to help absorption. I have been checking it every day though, and if you get one I suggest keeping an eye because I think with any air wick type thing, 1/100 is going to be a dud/fire hazard. Even the air wick reviews have these same issues. So first off, make sure the bottle is screwed in all the way, snip the bottom if you don't think it's wet enough (if your hand doesn't get SOMETHING on it when you touch the soft brown thing at the top, it's not absorbing correctly!) Also, I think those of you complaining about it not working probably have a larger space and you need more than one. They clearly suggest one for every room, I noticed a HUGE difference just by adding a second one. So, don't give up on a product just because it doesn't work as fast as YOU want it to. Especially if you're introducing cats like me, it takes time, much more than a month most likely. And all air wick thingys only last a month, so I'm not sure why anyone is upset about it lasting a month 😂 Guess no one reads before they buy stuff. 🤷♀️ So I hope this helps some of you out there deciding on this. Because I'm getting one for every room! I've also mixed both brands, the feliway and this one. If you love your cats like I do, it ain't no thang.

Worked for a while, but then started smelling like melting plastic. :( Cant recommend.
So, we've had these installed for a bit, and it seems to have helped our cats, who had a rough time with a move. The first refills we used with the diffusers lasted a few weeks and things seemed to be going fine. They didn't really smell like anything, but the amount inside the bottles slowly disappeared and the cats were calmer, so I didn't think much of it. I refilled the diffusers when the originals got down to the bottom, I plugged them all back in, and went on my merry way. However, about a week or two later, I was alarmed by the sudden stench of burning plastic. I frantically looked around wondering what could be smoldering in my house, until I discovered it was coming from one of the Comfort Zone diffusers. I was horrified. What if I had not been home and caught it when it was just at the horrific smell stage? Was something melting inside? The refill had not gone empty and still had at least 1/3 liquid left inside of it, so it never ran dry. They were installed correctly into a wall outlet and not plugged in upside down or anything. No liquid had spilled out anywhere outside of the unit, and the unit had remained properly plugged in. At that point, I removed all the CZ plug ins. I can't trust them after this. For as much as this kit costs, I'm a little miffed that 1 out of the 3 diffusers would malfunction like this within 3 months of use. The refills didn't really seem to last as long as advertised, but I can overlook that. Scaring me half to death in the middle of working at home because I smell burning plastic down the hallway? Unacceptable. TL;DR: Something went wrong with one of the diffusers and it started smelling like burning plastic one day, so I immediately stopped using them. Do not recommend experiencing that.

Life changing for my 6 cat household!
Comfort Zone is the only reason that my 6 indoor cats are able to live in harmony! All are female and all are spayed, but before I found Comfort Zone there were daily tifts, fights, and nervous anxiety throughout the house. Comfort Zone makes all the difference! No, my girls aren't now all of a sudden besties as a result- there's at least 1 in the group that someone doesn't like; but Comfort Zone makes our home manageable and cohesive. It works for us because my 6 girls sense that our home is a safe place! Thank You Comfort Zone!!

Worth it
Ive used these for years and they are incredible. They help calm my kitties down, seem to last a long time, easy to use, and worth the money. The only thing is that sometimes they come with a little bit of a leak so you get it on your hands but otherwise no complaints
