How deep is this? I can only fit a depth of 20 inches.

Thank you for your question. The depth of this product is 23.25". If you only have 20" depth then this product would not work. If you are wanting a top mount product you could try the 53TM-1850GSCDM2-FL.

What does soft close mean? Will it close completely like a drawer or do you have to push it all the way to completely close the door.

Thanks for your interest in our products. Soft close mean this unit has a mechanism on it that when you are pushing the unit back into the cabinet it will slow the unit down prior to full closure to avoid it from slamming and closing softly. Your existing door will attach to the front of the unit and when it is closed it will look like it always has. When closing it you will need to push it until you feel the soft close kick in. Once it does the unit should close the rest of the way due to the soft close.
