Expandable Pet Carrier Backpack for Cats, Dogs and Small Animals, Portable Pet Travel Carrier, Super Ventilated Design, Airline Approved, Ideal for Traveling/Hiking/Camping

There is a lot to like about this carrier. We read the reviews before purchasing and only bought (2) bags with 5 stars to compare and ultimately choose between. This is the one we kept. We have a 15lb chunky cat. We wanted a back pack style, so my daughter could move through the airport with a carryon bag and a cat easily when flying alone. There was plenty of space for him. He had enough room to be comfortable laying down when the bag was sitting upright. Even though there was less "floor space" than a typical over the shoulder soft carrier when the bag is upright, it was a smoother walk for him, since he road on her back rather than bumping along at her side & the large round (and low) mesh gave him plenty of view and air laying down. When sitting up, the bag had an amazing amount of space. It also has a mesh zipper section, so when he sits up, he still has plenty of view, air, & an exceptional amount of space. It has an additional "pop out" room that is all mesh. The designers of this bag really focused on kitty comfort, so as a result of the mesh windows (which provided great airflow & visual access) there weren't pockets, but my daughter actually used the "pop out" zipper section as a pocket and was able to take his treats, his meds, rubber gloves, an extra piddle pad, and handiwipes. We examined the seams. Although time will tell if it holds up, it seems to be well made. The padded shoulder straps were very comfortable. The final deciding factor was that this backpack had both the chest strap and the lower hip/waist strap. Our daughter said that it distributed the weight well on her body, so she didn't have to lean forward & also helped support the bag, so our hefty cat didn't end up sagging or the bag collapsing. It went on the plane and under the seat just fine laying down (which, when laid on its back has as much room as any over the shoulder bag for his comfort on the flight. He was so comfortable in his travel carrier, that he sat up and gave himself a bath while at the airport. Anyone with a cat knows that won't happen unless the cat feels comfortable and secure. Pulling this out of the bag, my cats immediately got in and started playing around. The extendable back makes it nice and roomy. I plan to fly with this so will report back once I do. Overall: nice appearance, sturdy quality, durable mesh and zippers, thick bottom to support larger cats, chest strap for more stability— all awesome. They only thing it’s missing is a pocket or place to hold poo bags, treats, keys/ wallet, etc. And the plastic was a little difficult to pull off of the window as you can see by the video my kitten wanted to help lol Update: flying with this backpack was perfect. It fits well under the middle and window AA seats. With the chest strap there wasn’t too much bounce when walking with him. The expandable back was very nice for him to stretch out more during our layover.

I've owned this bag for around 3 years now, and I've finally gotten around to reviewing this beautiful thing. I have a meatball girl. she's 13th but short and chunky, and a 10 lb orange menace. They both fit well in here, and they've been on many walks with us in it. With the bottom piece in the bag, it's super sturdy, and we often use it to transport the orange devil to her babysitting location. The expandable feature is great, we just leave it on the floor expanded and they treat it like another cat home. It folds up great, you can clip your cat in for safety, and you can feel better knowing that this bag has a lot of breathing room and a sun shade. Will probably buy another one if they're still available. (cats in photos)

Durable, larger than I expected. My cats love it so much I have to keep it out and the side round screen door open so they can take turns to sleep in it, now mind you I have A LOT of animal beds, caves, houses & cat trees, & they still choose this every time! The only thing negative is when you bring the extended part in, it’s a bit difficult to zip it all back up again inside the main backpack part. But def 10/10! Ok maybe 9.5/10 for that last part. But quality is very exceptional!

I bought this pet backpack for my Baby girl even though it’s for dogs and cats it’s perfect for my little Angel. 🥰 things I disliked when it arrived are, that the protective clear sheet was a huge pain to remove. It took me nearly an hour or longer ripping up my poor fingernails to remove it. so if you are thinking of ordering one be ready to deal with that. you may notice how it’s super clear and what I used to get rid of the stubborn plastic is my electric lighter. If you are careful and comfortable enough to pull it off it works wonders in getting pieces that are hard to remove. like around the silver rings, edges of the outside, and inside of the bag. I ended up using tweezers and scissors the first time. Please don’t do that, u will scratch up the window. as I’ve done. just use an electric lighter to burn the rest off. do not use a normal lighter unless you are certain u won’t burn the bag. if you do scrap the window I found out that using my electric lighter smoothed out the scraps only do it for a short while don’t do it for too long or the window will burn, thankfully I didn’t burn or melt her window. 🙃 another thing is the back part that comes out, it’s a bit tricky to get back inside once u open it so I don’t bother with that. The straps are far too small but the top one fits perfectly around my chest but not my lower side haha. The bag is sturdy and fits nicely on my shoulders and back. Lulu doesn’t bounce or get jerked around at all, Besides the minor issues. This bag is perfect 😍 👍

Very good quality, I am impressed! Well ventilated and plenty of room for a large cat or small dog. Potato (pictured) is around 13 pounds and fits in it comfortably. He loves to just lay in it at home and is comfortable on walks. The back also expands for a little more space when you're not wearing it. The screen is made of decent material which will hold up against scratching. There's also a clip to attach a harness for safety. Knocking down to four stars bc I keep getting scammy snail mail from the seller.

We leave it on the floor with one of the entrances open when it is not being used and the cats go inside it during the day and spend quite some time there.

At first I was disappointed because a few negative reviews on here warned that the window part is very cloudy and had a lot of marks and mine also did when it arrived BUT… it turns out, you just need to peel the plastic people! After that, the plastic window bit is clear and free of scratches! My cats adored this bag. As soon as I opened it, they both wanted to play with it. I’ve attached a few photos and videos of their reaction. There is quite a bit of a scent to it — I thought the cats would be put off by it but they were rolling around all over it. Is it cat nip? They were in a bit of a frenzy but I’m happy they had a positive association with it from the get go! The extension bit on the back is a bit stiff when you first try to pry it open but it’s algood after. Zipping the back bit up was also a bit of a struggle but I think it’ll loosen up the more you fidget with it. Overall, for the price and my both my cats’ reaction to it, I’m pretty happy!

Couldn’t be happier with this purchase. Great material and sturdy, love the design. It would’ve been great to have done instructions as it was a little difficult to extend but once I worked it out it’s ok but wouldn’t have my cat in there when trying to extend. REMEMBER to remove the plastic film from BOTH sides of the clear window!! Try and take it off in one piece makes it easier. So excited to be able to take him on walks and show him off
