Fantastic for noodle soup!

Worked well. Note this is a heavy duty version and not some lightweight item than will break in a year. Well worth the money.

This strainer is a fantastic tool to have when you are boiling pasta or noodles. It works very well and has a very good build quality. This product however, is not easy to use. Firstly, you need a very very deep pot because the handle is very long and it can be slightly difficult to clean. Most strainers are difficult to clean so that can't be helped. If I were to buy this again, I would make sure to buy a deeper pot as well.

This is the real one that the Chinese and Japanese use commercially as well as for their home use. I’ve had one for a long time and bought this one for my grand son in Phoenix. I love the fact it has a hook on the long handle, allowing to hang the strainer in the pot of water.

While I haven't used it yet, I bought it because I remembered all the times I needed it and promised myself to buy one and then forgot to. Much easier to use than a colander or side-handled strainer.

I purchased this to steam different products in my deep stock pot and it works perfectly. Very sturdy, my husband was thrilled to see that I purchased this and is excited to use it for making Asian cuisine. It has many versatile uses. and I love that I can hang it on my deep stock pot which is very easy to lift it out. Handle does not get hot at all. I highly recommend if anyone is considering purchasing, you will not be disappointed.

One needs a deep pot for this size strainer. It is big and I need new pot to match. Otherwise, I love it. It is perfect for blanching vegetables. I used to frantically transfer them from boiling to icy water with a slotted spoon (too slow) or dump into a colander & transfer (too slow). Both methods extend the time the veggies are hot & ruin the taste when they are cooked later. This one-step "dipper" is quick & easy. Additionally, it is attractive. I bought small strainers to match for shabu shabu & the entire "Helen" line is so pretty.
