Yamaha PSRE453 61-Key Portable Keyboard

Fits perfectly into my RV and suits all my needs for a practice keyboard. With a DC/DC power converter I was able to wire straight into my RV 12 Volt DC system so I don't have to keep recharging AA batteries. Six AA's don't last long, less than a week with daily practice. Six D cell batteries in my old Yamaha lasted six weeks! Besides wishing the Tempo control was positioned alongside the Style and Voice controls, I'm quite happy with the rich tone qualities and rhythm patterns that the Style function offers. A very sophisticated unit for the low price.

The keyboard is a great keyboard. It has some advanced features that you will not find on a low range price keyboard for a workstation keyboard. It has over 700 voices 200 or more Styles, and 30 songs. It also has a DJ pattern that you can make or create your own style of dub step music or something like that. It has five sections for each of the 25 DJ styles. it has an arpeggio function. It also has a recording function. You can even hook the keyboard into a computer using the USB type B port on the back of the keyboard and the USB type A port on your computer to use as a digital audio workstation, (DAW). Note, that you will need the Yamaha driver specific to that keyboard with your selected version of windows to take advantage of the MIDI capabilities for your music programs. You can also connect the keyboard to an Apple device and use some apps that work with Yamaha keyboards as a virtual controller. Not to mention, it has life control knobs so you can control the sound in real time without going into the menu system to adjust your sound, However, the option is still available if you want to adjust your sound at the finest level. The only thing, in my opinion, that I think it should have, is a modulation wheel. This will make it very easy to make the sound a lot more robust. If you know how to use it. Let me not forget that it also has Yamaha's education sweet parentheses Y. E. S), this will let the person who is trying to play piano learn how to use the correct chord fingering to play a certain song. Overall, it is a good keyboard. Highly recommend it for those people who just like to have entertainment and use it for basic studio work and just for their enjoyment.

Delivered on time, great sounds and styles, a large library of natural and electronic sounds (voices), all the rithms (styles) that you may need and more, this are all very reach and realistic voices, 24 patterns and variations, (disco rithms), live controls including DSP controls, (this feature is not available in other brands and models), 36 registers. you cannot get all this (professional style) features, unless you are willing to pay three times more. Please don't take my word, I recommend you download the manual for free, so you really make your own comparisons and evaluation.

great keyboard.although they should have made the manuel larger. it is very hard to follow instructions, the printing is much too small.display window should be much larger also.

This is a 'Grade B'. function keys does not work. Seller don't stand behind their product.

The keyboard is great. I believe that I got what I was expecting; however, a big surprise when I opened the box. The AC Adaptor was not included. A big disappointment when you are willing to open the box and start playing. I am sure it is written somewhere on the product post at Amazon that the AC Adaptor is not included and that I pretty sure didn't read it, but still, total frustration. Maybe Yamaha should have taken some classes with Steve Jobs to learn how to amaze their customers when opening the box of their products. Stupid economy....

read tons of reviews and youtube videos prior to buying. Ive had it a month now and the sound quality is just not very good. Sounds more like the really cheap toy keyboards.

I am happy with my Yamaha, but I can't play it because I don't have a manual book. I asked one, and they promised one to me, but still waiting! I need help.
