Good quality, very comfortable to use, gentle on tools and material

Firstly, well done Amazon. 7 days, Monday to Monday, New Jersey to East Yorkshire. Wish Royal Mail were that switched on. The mallet is just right, I’ve got the 20oz version from the “other” brand, which is equally good, but sometimes a bit much. I think the 12oz version would be a bit light. As for the people that have complained on other listings of the same product, about the handle not being sanded well enough, when mine arrived I was expecting it to be like an old gate post. Yes, it’s not been sanded to 400 grit, but so what, you’re meant to be a woodworker, so do some woodwork. You’ve only bought it because it was cheaper that the equivalent Wood Is Good version, same as the rest of us, 30 seconds and a bit of 240 grit paper and you’re done.

Good value

This mallet has an ergonomic handle, and is very well balanced. The urethane head prevents marring of your tools and absorbs the strike. Very comfortable to use for long periods of time & a great value for the price.

For this price, this mallet is excellent. Has a nice feel when hitting chisels and the surface doesn't seem to be wearing or marring at all. When new I felt the handle could use some work, so I gave it a brief sand with 240grit and then rubbed in some paste wax. Now it feels perfect.
